"So Harry's party?" I mention to Alicia as we sit down for lunch."You're asking me? You're catching on fast new girl!" She laughs. "But yes! And you and Harry need to..."
She winks at me and I can't help but blush.
"No, we're just friends." I tell her and take a sip of my water.
I would tell her about everything between us, but I don't feel comfortable yet. I'm not sure if it's because I don't really know her or because I'm not completely sure where Harry and I stand, but I would like to keep it on the DL for now.
"Sure," she smirks.
"Hey Max." I smile when he sits down next to him with his lunch.
"Hey ladies. So how do you think that bio test went?"
"Um it was fine, but can we talk about why Harry Styles is walking over here?" Alicia answers Max.
My eyes immediately dart to Harry coming over to our table with something in his hand. Oh god.
"Hey Addie, you left this at my house the other night." Harry winks and hands me my bra with a smirk on his face.
I can't form any words, and I feel my face heat up with embarrassment. I can hear all of his friends laughing as Harry walks away from our table.
I pick the article of clothing that I must've forgot at his house off the table and practically sprint to the bathrooms. I feel like everyone is staring at me, so I'm glad I was able to hold my tears until I got to the girl's room.
"Addie? What the hell was that?" Alicia joins me a few minutes later.
I can't answer her, because I don't know! I can't believe what just happened... Even though I knew Harry was a complete ass just last week, I could never imagine him doing something like this. He just humiliated me, made me look like a slut, just another one of his hookups. For a day or two, I actually thought we had a genuine thing together.
I can't even form words because of my crying, but thankfully Alicia catches on and just hugs me until I calm down.
"Uh, so I take it you guys hooked up?"
I nod and walk over to the paper towels to dry my eyes.
"When? Wait why didn't you tell me?"
"I'm sorry.. I just, I didn't want you to judge me.. We hooked up a couple of times." I manage to say.
"Addie, I wouldn't judge you. I probably would have told you to be careful so you could avoid this!"
"I'm sorry. He was being so nice! Why would he do this? Now everyone probably thinks I'm a whore! I didn't even sleep with him!" I cry into her shoulder.
"No they don't. Look, Harry's an ass, so just forget about him. I'm really sorry, Addie, but I promise, you'll be okay." She comforts me.
I manage to keep a low profile the rest of the school day, ignoring all of the stares and laughing in the hallway. I am still in shock of what happened during lunch. I might have expected this a few days ago from him, but certainly not after I spent the night at his house! All I know is that I never want to speak to that poor excuse of man again. He is scummy and not worth my time.
"Dad, is mom home?" I ask him when I see him at the table doing some work.
"No, sweetie. Why, what's wrong?" He asks, he can obviously tell I've got something bothering me.
"Nothing, I'm going to go for a walk." I inform him and leave the kitchen.
Maybe a walk will help. I put in my headphones and step outside. The cold fall weather actually relaxes me as I begin to walk down the street. I don't know where I'm going, but I don't care.
