Training wasn't bad I learnt new blade skills that I was eager to try out on my own. I sat in the kitchen eating mac an' cheese that Mia had made while Matteo and his leechish ways drank a blood shake. Mia was too in love to have a problem with it and just didn't care. Derick walked it taking my fork and popping some of the food in his mouth.
"So Murphy's pack has set up camp at the boarder." Derick said after chewing and swallowing the mac an' cheese.
"That's good I guess." I shrugged.
"I think they'll be attacking soon." Derick sat beside me.
"Did anyone see the council members?" I asked.
"No but I know they are there in the back ground." He said.
"Well we have the weapons ready and the safety of our people." We had been ready I was ready to succumb to the darkness and take them down.
"No! Snap out of it." Derick shook me.
"I hate that you know what I'm thinking."
"Well I'm glad." We watched Mia and Matteo on a verge of making out.
"You know Mia you have a house and it has bedrooms." I said but she fanned me away.
"That's how I felt when I caught you guys making out in the kitchen." She said.
"It's our house!" Derick snapped.
"Ugh...fine let's go baby these sour puss are blocking my mojo." She pointed at us and pulled him away.
"Good riddance." I said as I heard the door close.
"You know there are fourteen other bedrooms in this house that need christening." He kissed my neck as we were getting in our mood the doorbell rang. I got up and opened it, it was Arogon and a woman. Katya?
"What did you do?" I asked him.
"Nothing." He said. "Well you told me about her and I couldn't get her off my mind so I went to get her." He brought her forward she was beautiful. Pristine skin, grey eyes and beautiful blonde hair with glitter. Damn fairies, they always had to have glitter.
"Come on in." I said and closed the door behind them. We walked to the kitchen where Derick was still seated. "Derick, this is Katya." I said and he looked at me wide eyed.
"It's so nice to meet you." She took my hand and then Derick's. "I've heard so much about you guys and I'm just super excited." She was perkier than a mermaid.
"Nice to meet you too." I said and I elbowed a distracted Derick.
"Oh same here." What was up with him?
"So how did you guys make it in without dying?" I asked and Derick winced.
"Sorry for her bluntness." He apologized.
"It's okay quite refreshing." She smiled. "I'm an elemental fairy so we just whisked pass them." Sat beside Arogon.
"Well I'm glad all your bits are still intact and welcome." I said.
"Arogon a word please." Derick said and they went off to his study.
"So how long have you and your mate been together?" She asked.
"About two months." I answered.
"Does the marking hurt?" She asked.
"Oh no, it sends waves through your body though and every time he touches it happens." I touched the mark on my neck.
"So do you gradually fall in love?" she asked.
"It's bound to happen so yes I guess."
"I have never been in love but I feel the bond pulling us closer together." She smiled.
"That's good." I smiled. "Why do fairies always have glitter on them?" I asked.
"Because we are supposed to be tiny and cute." She shrugged.
"Don't you get tired of the glitter?"
"Well yes but we can't get rid of them." She shook her hair to demonstrate. "Quite frustrating." She smiled. We sat there and talked for a long time until the men came back and she was giving me cooking tips. She was really nice and I was looking forward to building a friendship with her if her mate chooses to stay with us or go back on his own.
We sat and talk for a little while before they left hand in hand and giggling. If it weren't so cute it'd almost sickening. I stood at the door passage watching the children play. Derick and I never spoke of children it was probably too early and we had so much going it would be unfair to bring a child in this up and coming anarchy.
The recent prophecy had said that we would be mother and father but did it mean of our own children or was it over this new generation? It's not like Legends are known to be infertile, I think I'm fertile I should probably have that checked out after all this chaos. I closed the door and made my way to our bedroom and I looked out over the balcony.
I saw a pregnant woman she and her mate walking hand in hand talking and rubbing her stomach. I placed my hand on my belly and rubbed it a small smile creeping its way up. Would Derick make a good father? Better question would I make a good mother? My mother didn't do a horrible job and I'd have practice on other people's children. Plus I'd have help from the ancestral spirits that I knew.
"Hey." I turned my head and looked at him removing my hand from my stomach. "You'll be a great mother." He hugged me from behind.
"It still creeps me out that you know exactly what's happening in my head." I commented.
"I wasn't in your head I was watching you." He kissed the top of my head. "Now just isn't a good time to have kids." He said.
"I know." I sighed.
"Screw right time let's get this family started." He pinned me on the wall and I giggled.
"This house has fourteen virgin bedrooms." I kissed him.
"Well let's make it zero." He laughed.
