Vanished: Eric Secharia/Midnight Red Fan Fiction

Chapter 1

Another morning in Denver, Colorado.This morning felt different though. I always had this deep feeling in my stomach when something wrong is going to happen. I don't want to call myself sykik though. My name is Lauren Secharia. I have an older brother , Eric , who basically raises me. My mom walked out on us when I was six and Eric was nine and my dad is in the army so Eric promised my dad he would look after me. It feels like I have 5 brothers though. Well I knew them long enough to call them that. Eric started a band with his four closest mates. Thomas Augusto. He was the trouble maker out of the group but such a giving heart. Joey Diggs Jr. He was kind of the leader of the group. Without him odds are their band which they call Midnight Red would be in jail. Anthony Ladao. He is probably the shiest one out of the 5, but knows how to have a good time when he opens up to you. Last but not least there was Colton Rudloff. He looked like your typical boy next door. He is such a sweetheart. Colton is the type that if he gives you a hug, you will feel safe in his arms. He had a girlfriend though. Her name was Hailey Marie. They have been dating for a while now. Anyways, Midnight Red would always have rehearsals Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays in our garage. I have never seen any of the guys miss a practice.

I heard a knock on the door. "Lauren could you get that it's probably the guys" Eric shouted getting his guitar and changing in his room. I went over to the door. "Hey Lauren how's it going?" Anthony said with a smile as I opened the door. "I'm great. Eric will be one minute." "Okay that's fine I just thought I would come up and see how you were doing." "Oh I'm okay I have so much homework to do and it's so hard." "Well if you ever need any help. Just call me." "Okay thank you." "Of course." "Anthony stop flirting with my sister. I told you she is off limits." "We were just talking." "Yeah okay" Eric said in a sarcastic voice. I knew Anthony had a thing for me it's just I look at him as a older brother not a boyfriend. Besides I have no time for a boyfriend they are just a distraction. Someone I know from school, Taylor Barnes, liked him. Thomas's girlfriend Ali and I were good friends so we were going to try and set them up. The guys went down to rehearse and I stayed up stairs doing my mountains of homework. The guys said the didn't mind if I watched them, but I knew Eric didn't want me down there. He loves me and all but sometimes he just needs his guy time. Which was understandable.

About two hours later, Eric came back upstairs. "Hey Lauren do you mind if I go hang out with Joey and Anthony  for a little while?" "No of course not. What about Colton and Thomas?" "Oh they chose their girlfriends over us." "Oh okay well just have fun and be safe." "Same to you little sis love you and call me if you need anything." "Will do big bro."

I guess I accidentally fell asleep on the couch because I woke up and it was 11:30 already. I reached over and grabbed my phone off the coffee table. One new voice mail. I listened to it from Eric and it said: "Hey sis the guys and I decided to sleep at a hotel tonight because we are too tired to drive back so be safe and talk to you tomorrow. Love you bye." I didn't mean being home alone. Then I heard someone knocking. "Who could it possibly be at 11:30 at night?" I thought to myself slowly walking over to the door. I opened it slowly to find Thomas and Colton standing there. "Hey sorry to bother you so late I just think I left my jacket here the other day" Colton said. "No it's okay come on in." "Where's Eric?" Thomas asked. "Oh he is at a hotel with Anthony and Joey. They were too tired to drive back." "So you are here all by yourself?" "Yes it's no big deal though." "Got it" Colton said walking in to the room where Thomas and I stood. "What's going on?" he said. "Lauren is going to be here all by herself tonight" Thomas said getting him up to speed. "Oh why don't you come home with me. It's lonely their anyways." "What about Hailey?" "I am sure she wouldn't mind. Your like my little sister." "It would make me feel a lot better if you did. Or you can come home with me." Thomas said putting the offer out. "Guys thank you but really I'm fine here. This isn't the first time I'm on my own. "Are you sure?" Colton said. "Yes." I gave them both a hug and walked them to the door. "Call us if you need anything. And lock the door." Thomas said as he walked out. "Don't let any crazy loon a tics in" Colton said. "I let you guys in didn't I?" "Very funny.Good night." I shut the door behind me, put my pajamas on and went to bed. I had a lot of tests tomorrow at school and needed my energy.
