Chapter 8

I didn't really know what to expect when we got up to the room. But Eric always told me to expect the worse prepare for the best so I did. All 6 of us went up. I cautiously knocked on the door. I was in the front so Thomas grabbed my hand protectively and pulled me next to him. He never let go of my hand. While we were waiting for them to answer, Joey leaned over and whispered "I think you're making Colton jealous." I knew I was but he wouldn't let me explain myself so I didn't care. Just then I remembered the rivalry between Midnight Red and 5SOS. If they saw all of them there they would never tell me where Eric was. I had to think fast. "Guys if they see you with me, they probably won't let us in so go hide in the elevator or something and I will be out soon." "No forget it you aren't going in there alone" Thomas said. "Well all 5 of you can't." "I'm going with you Lauren" Thomas stated. "Bro if they say anything you will lose your temper." "I am not letting her go in there by herself Anthony." "I will go" Colton said stepping next to me. "She's right go down to the lobby. We will be down in 20 minutes or later hopefully with Eric. Just go." "I swear Colt if anything happens to her.."Thomas said. "Nothing will. I will protect her as if she was my own girlfriend." That was a joke only me and Joey understood. Thomas let go of my hand and they all went down stairs. Colton went over to the door again and knocked still silent. Before I was about to say something the door opened.

"What are you here for?" A big security guard asked. "Hi I'm Lauren I met the guys at the studio back in Colorado and I have to talk to them about a new hit single." The guy looked suspicious but let us in anyways. "3/4 boys went to the bar, but Ashton is here." "That is fine thank you very much." "He will be down in a minute." When the guard left to go upstairs I whispered "I don't think its a good idea for you to be here right now. He doesn't like you guys just go and I will be down later. Promise." He turned to me. "No. I'm not leaving you. I don't care what he wants or likes. We are in this together." I knew it was unsafe for him especially if all 3 of them come back but I knew when it came to certain things Colton was very strong headed.

"Lauren so nice to see you again" Ashton said sarcastically. "Look if this is about your brother, I already told you I don't know where or what happened. I'm sorry."  "I know you are lieing. If you just tell me where he is I swear it will stay between us and that is all. I need my brother. Have you ever loved someone who isn't here anymore?" There was a pause. I could tell I struck a nerve and that is what I wanted in a way. "I think you should go now before I call security." "No we aren't leaving" Colton said. "Ashton please you have to help us. If you didn't do it but you know someone who is involved you have to tell us." "I know nothing." "Fine what were you talking about with him on the day he went missing 2 weeks ago in the lobby?" "I will tell you. But I won't tell him. If he leaves, I will tell you what I know about your brother's disappearance if he decides to stay, you won't get my information." I looked over at Colton. You could tell he wasn't about to leave. "Can you give us a minute?" "Of course." I pulled Colt's arm over so I could talk to him in private. "I know what you are about to say Lauren, I am not leaving. He says he knows about Eric which means he had something to do with it. That would be you in danger and I am not going to lose you too." "Colton please, if it means finding Eric, we have to. I swear nothing will happen. You just have to trust me. Please." He saw how desperate I was. It took a moment but he agreed. "Please be safe." "I will. But Colt please don't tell Thomas about this. He will flip. Same with the others." "I won't. You better not make me regret this." Ashton approached us. "So are we decided?" "Yes. He is leaving." "Good boy." Before Colton left he looked at me one last time and said I love you. I looked over and said it back before I shut the door. I knew I made him smile. I made my way over to the couch were Ashton was waiting. "Now tell me what happened to my brother."

Sorry I haven't updated in forever. I have been so busy and I have been sick :( But I will try and update this and my other story Happily Ever After (Sequel to The Exception) a lot more. I want to everyday but it might be every one or two days. So thank you for reading:) Until next time...
