Chapter 7

We arrived in New York and the first thing we did was check into a hotel. We chose the one closest to where 5SOS were staying at. It would be a little obvious if we did the same one. I found it cute how the boys all wanted me to share a room with each of them so since I wouldn't choose between them they flipped a coin. The thing was Colton didn't seem interested in sharing a room with me. While the other were fighting, he just listened to music. I asked him if he was mad or upset and he just said he was fine. Who tells a girl they love her then, shut them out when they are trying to get close to you. I had other things to worry about he would get over it.

"Yesss! Heads! I get Lauren" Joey shouted. I kind of felt relieved it was the member of the group who didn't have a thing for me. They drew straws to see who would be rooming with who and who got the room to themselves. "Okay Colton and Anthony you guys are sharing a room and Thomas looks like your the lucky duck who gets the room all to themselves" Joey explained. "Hey bro I would be willing to switch. You get the room to yourself and I will take Lauren." "Nice try Tom. Forget it." "Worth a shot" he said. We all went to our rooms and unpacked. I was happy Colton and Thomas weren't sharing a room. God knows what that would turn into.

Joey was unpacking his clothes when I confronted him. "Hey can I ask you about something" I said sitting down on the bed. "Sure anything what's up?" "Well it's about Colton. He seems down about something and it's not just Eric." "Yeah I noticed. What did you say to him on the plane? Whatever it was it got to him. He is the sensitive one." "Well he told me he loved me." Joey was in shock. "Are you serious?" "Yes. I didn't know how to react or what to say. Eric always told me that you guys were off limits and I didn't think that 3 of you had feelings for me." "Are you sure he said love? It could just be a crush. That's what Anthony has. He isn't in love with you. What else did Colt say?" "Well he said he wasn't the only one. That Thomas was in love with me too and that I had to decide who I wanted." "What happened after that?" "Thomas came down and sat next to me. But they both told me the same thing. They broke up with their girlfriends because they had feelings for someone else." "Damn girl you have a lot to worry about. I feel so bad" he said giving me a hug. "The last thing you need is more stress on you. You have to worry about Eric. You don't need more drama." "Tell me about it." "So what am I going to do about Colton?" "Well I don't see why he is mad. It's not like you decided who you want." I paused and had a guilty look on my face. "Lauren is their something else you have to tell me?" "Well while Colton had his headphones on, Thomas asked me out and I said yes. I didn't think he could of heard us but maybe he did." "Dude let's just find Eric. I'm sure he is okay. Once he is back, he will go over the rules. He won't let animals like us date his innocent little sister." "Thank you Joey it means a lot." We hugged again and joined the others outside.

Things were awkward between Colt and I but I couldn't let it bother me. My head has been all over the place worrying about this. I needed my brother back. We went over to the hotel 5SOS were staying at. Thomas was the convincing one so he did the talking when we went over to the guy working at the front desk. "Hello sir can you help us?" Thomas said. "Hey aren;t you Midnight Red? My daughter is a huge fan." "Aww yes we are. Well we are missing a member. Thta's why we are here. We can't find Eric. He went missing a few weeks ago and we haven't seen him since and we think some people who are checked in here might have something to do with it." "Anything for you guys how can I help?" Thank goodness we had a nice guy. "Can you tell us what room the other boy band 5 seconds of summer is in?" "I can try let me check and see." It took a moment. "Okay reservation under Hood, Calum." "Yes that is them." "Okay they are in room 112 but don't tell them I gave you this information or I could get fired." "Absolutely thank you very much." "Wait before you go, can you sign this for my daughter Kelly?" "Sure of course" they all answered. "Okay thank you all."

Before we went to the room, Anthony had to take a bathroom break even though Joe told him to go at our hotel. Thomas and Joey went in though. I'm sure the only reason Thomas went in there was to check his hair. It was just me and Colton so I decided to talk to him. "Hey are we okay?You seem different from the plane." "Yes were fine." "It doesn't seem like it."  "Well maybe you can go ask your boyfriend Thomas." "Colt he isn't my boyfriend. I'm sorry but I don't want one right now. Or until we find Eric." "If you didn't like him then why did you agree to go out with him?" "How could I of said no to that?" He didn't answer instead he put his ear buds in to tune me out. I was so tired of this and everything. I just want to find Eric and have everything go back to normal. The others came out of the bathroom and we all made our way up to room 112 to get to the bottom of this before I explode and we all go nuts.
