It was about 2:00 in the morning when I got some clues that might lead me to find where Eric was at. I remember hearing the cops talking about finding in old path in the back of the cemetery. What if Ashton was lieing completely. I was curious on what was back there. I tried but I couldn't wait til morning. I wanted to call one of the guys but they needed their sleep they have been working so hard. And it wasn't like I was in danger I was just looking. I grabbed my car keys and coat and headed to the cemetery.
I pulled up and turned off my car in the parking lot outside the grave yard. I hesitated going in but I knew I had to take risks if I wanted Eric back. I walked slowly to the hidden path in the back. It was all rocky and there was branches laying everywhere. About a quarter of a mile down there was even a tree pushed over. I climbed over it looking for foot prints or anything really. I just need a sign to know he is still out there. Nothing. It took me about 10 minutes, but it lead me to an old house about a mile down the old abandon path. I wanted to wait until Midnight Red or the cops were with me but what if Eric was there and needed help right now. I kept walking to look inside the windows. The house was pretty much dark but the suspicious thing was, there was only one small light in a room in the back of the house. I went to the front of the house and I saw tire prints so who ever's house this was, they were gone. For now. I went to the front door and it was looked. I looked around anxiously for a key then I remembered the obvious key under the mat thing and it worked. I poked my head in the door. It was quite and I didn't think there was anyone home. I walked to the light that was at the end of the hall. The door was open a crack. I opened it slowly listening to the door creek open. Then I saw a body tapped to the chair. He opened his eyes as soon as he saw me come in. His face was all beat up and bruised. I knew those brown eyes anywhere. Tears began to fill up in my eyes too. "ERIC" I yelled running over and giving him a hug. "I knew you were alive." I removed the tape from his mouth. "Lauren thank god. I knew you would find me. I am so sorry." "There is absolutely nothing to apologize for I am just happy to see you. Now I am going to get you out of here bro." "You better hurry he has been gone for a while and he could come at any minute. Did the boys come with you?" "No it's just me." I tried ripping the tape off his feet first. Damn did they make it tight. In the middle of it I heard a car approach the house. "Quick it's him. Go hide if he catches you he will kill you. Hurry go get help!" I put the tape back on his mouth. "I promise Eric I will get you out of here."I ran to the nearest room and hid. I heard foot steps coming down the hallway. I knew I had to control my breathing. Who knows what he will do to us if I get caught. The foot steps went into Eric's room then left. I heard him walk the other way. I am pretty sure he was going to his bed room. It was 3 in the morning. I thought I was home free. Then as I made my way to the exit quietly to get the boys and cops, my phone's ringtone went off. "Shit" I said to myself. He turned around and saw me. I ran for it and he followed. What have I done? I made it outside and looked at the black Mercedes outside. I had to keep running. He was catching up. I was way too scared to turn around and look. As I made my way to the broken tree, I jumped over it and made my way full speed to the cemetery to get to my car. I unlooked it and jumped in it as fast I could. I had lost him. I knew Eric was alive. This was bad. He probably thought I was going to get help so who knows what he is going to do with Eric. I couldn't think straight. I drove to the guys's house as fast as I could and had to tell them everything. I was making progress but that one mistake might of changed everything.
