Chapter 6

We were all packed and read to go at the airport. We had a long flight ahead of us. It was 6 hours. The seating arrangements were Joey and Anthony and behind  them were Colton Thomas and me. They played rock paper and scissors over who I sat by and they one. I didn't mind though. Colton just kept looking out the window and I was playing flappy birds while Thomas played it on  his to see who can get a better score. After about 45 minutes he said he needed he was going to sleep for a little while. He didn't want to bother me so he moved up and sat next to Joey and Anthony because they were sleeping as well. So it was just Colton and I.

"Hey are you okay?You have been quite for an hour now." "Yeah I'm fine. Just thinking about stuff that's all." "Eric?" I asked. "Yeah that's one of the things." "Well do you wanna talk about anything you know you can tell me anything. Your like a older brother to me." He was silent. He took his eyes off me and looked back out the window. "That's what the problem is" I heard him say. It was a clear answer from that remark that he got mad because he has a crush on me. "Great all the members of Midnight Red have a crush on me" I thought to myself. Eric had one rule and that was there will be no dating me. I had to make sure even though I knew how awkward it would make things. "Colton, you know what Eric said. I can't date any of you guys even if you do have a crush on me. I'm sorry." He looked over. "It's not a crush Lauren. I'm in love with you." I couldn't believe what I just heard. "What?" "I have been in love with you since the first time I met you. The thing is I am not worried about Eric's rule because I know I could convince him I would treat you like my princess. The problem is I'm not the only one I don't think who is in love with you." "Am I the reason you and Hailey broke up?" "No. She told me she liked another guy. I just wasn't that upset because I knew I had you." "Colton, who else is in love with me?" He paused. "Well..I can tell by the way Thomas looks at you that he has feelings for you and I'm sure you knew Anthony still has that crush on you. The only person I think who doesn't is Joey. I can't tell you how much it bothers me every time one of them flirts with you. It looks like you have a decision to make." I didn't know what to say. This was big news he was putting on me. Just then Thomas came back and sat next to me. "Hey what's up guys?Did I miss anything?" he said with that adorable little smile. "Nope just talking that's all" I said. I didn't really want to talk about this. Especially since both of them were there. I have to focus on getting Eric back. I can't get side tracted and have all this stress and pressure on me. 

About three hours into the flight, Colton put his headphones on and fell asleep and Joey and Anthony were still sleeping. "Is everything okay?" Thomas asked me concerned. "Yeah why wouldn't it be?" "I don't know it just seems after you and Colton were talking you just seem down. Did he say something that upset you?" "No. Of course not. I'm just worried about Eric." I had to lie. i couldn't tell him about what he said just yet. I had to stay focused. "I know I am too. But it's okay we will find him." "Thank you for coming. I really appreciate it." "Of course Eric is our brother too. And do you really think I would let you go by yourself? If something happened to you I don't know what I would do." "Thank you same goes for you." He smiled. "You look a little tired. You can go to sleep if you want to." "I have one question though before I do. What happened between you and Ali?" He waited a moment before he spoke. "Well we wanted different things. " "Like how?" "She got a scholarship to a school in Boston for her artwork and she said the only way we could continue being together was if I moved there with her and I wouldn't agree. I couldn't leave the guys and you and everything behind." "I'm sorry." "Don't worry about it. Can I ask you something now?" "Sure what's up?" "Well I was wondering after we find Eric, if you would do me the honor and go out with me?" "Like on a date?" "Yes. I promise I will treat you right. It will be a little challenging to convince your brother that but when it come to you, I wouldn't let anything hurt you." I was stunned and tongue tied. He was so nice and so sweet. I thought about what Colton said to me. It was hard but how can I turn down a offer like that?" "Sure. I would love to." "Yes!Thank you I promise you won't regret it." He kissed my cheek. "You should probably get some rest. We have a big day later on." "Okay." I fell asleep with my head protectively on his shoulder. I had to put all boy drama aside and keep my eyes and mind on getting to the bottom of Eric's disappearance.
