Chapter 5

We all drove down to Capital Records. Colton drove with me in the front and Anthony in the back and in another car Thomas and Joey drove behind us. When we arrived we all walked in together. You can tell the workers knew as soon as they saw Midnight Red that a fight was going to go down. I calmly went up to the desk with guys behind me close. "Hello we are here to speak with 5 seconds of Summer and it's urgent." The girl looked intimidated by all of us crowding her. "I'm sorry you just missed them." "It's okay we will wait" Thomas said crossing his arms. The lady could tell he was serious. "No I think you misunderstand. They went to New York for 3 months. They were only here to do a couple of recordings." We all couldn't believe. I had that bad feeling in my stomach. I missed Eric so much we all did. He would always sing to me when he knew I was stressed or worried about something. I miss that perfect smile that lit up my day every time I saw it. I began to feel a tear run down my face. Then Thomas grabbed my hand and Colton rubbed my back. We all walked out silent. "It's okay Lauren we will get him back. It will just take some time" Anthony assured me. I couldn't take it anymore. We were getting no where being nice. I let go of Thomas's hand and ran back inside to the lady at the desk. I ran beside her and pulled her up from the chair and slammed her against the wall. "You listen to me. They took my brother now you better tell me whatever I wanna know or someone is going to get hurt do you understand me?" "Yes I do. Anything you want." She looked frightened but I honestly didn't care anymore. I released my grip and she sat down at her chair. Joey came over by me and pulled me away to where the guys were standing to make sure I didn't kill her. "Now, Patty, I read off her name tag, where were 5SOS staying while they were here?" "Um let me check. It looks like they stayed at the Palm Woods for one night and transferred to the Sleeping Inn." That sounded suspicious to me. Why only spend one night at a hotel then go somewhere else? That was the hotel Eric Anthony and Joey stayed at I recalled. "What night did they stay at the Palm Woods?" "Looks like last Tuesday." That was the night Eric gone missing. The guys even caught onto it. "And you didn't find it at all suspicious they transferred after one night?" Colton asked. "I guess I don't know. Look I am only they receptionist. They tell me to book something and I do. That's all." "What hotel are they staying at in New York?" I asked. The guys look confused. "I don't know if I could tell you that." If you don't tell me I will come over there and tie you up and we can do this the hard way. I'm not playing around. If I have to kick your ass to find my brother I will." "Okay okay just calm down. They are staying at the New York Skyline Hotel on Sunset Blvd." "Was that so hard?" We all walked out and drove back to my place.

We all sat in the living room eating dinner. "So what are we going to do next?" Thomas asked. "Well I have a plan but I think I have to do it solo. It's not safe for Midnight Red to do it so I have to handle this one on my own." "What no way?" Thomas said in a aggressive tone. "If you are going then, I am too. There is absolutely no way I am letting you fly across the world to see some psychos who took and might of harmed Eric. Are you crazy?" "Thomas I am a big girl. I don't want you to be in harms way. And what about Ali you can't leave her behind." "We broke up 5 days ago. She said she wanted to see other people." "Wow wow if you're going to New York Lauren, I'm going to New York" Colton said adding on to the discussion. "Me too" Anthony stated."You know I'm there" Joey also said. "Guys this is going to be dangerous." "We are a team. We stick together." Colton said. I had to think about it for a moment. I knew these guys weren't going to budge so I agreed. "Fine. We leave for New York Friday morning. You guys have tonight and tomorrow to pack so be ready. I will order the plane tickets tomorrow as well." I still didn't want them to go but I desperately wanted Eric back so maybe having them come isn't so bad.
