CHAPTER 7

PICTURE---------------> Nick Robinson as Kelly
The weekend had gone by like a blur. The time seemed to have passed as if nothing of significance had ever occurred. Well, in Kelly’s case it was the truth. All he had done while hanging out with Linda was watching movies, playing video games and board games, and doing their homework together. They didn't even leave the house much like going to the mall or movie theaters like other regular teenagers.
Fortunately for the two of them Felix and Lotus did come over and spend their time all day and all night on Saturday. Bill unfortunately couldn't come though because of his own war wolf training, and then patrolling the territory all day and all night long that day. Duty calls, he told them.
The only other thing and the one and only time they were out from staying cooped out too long in Linda’s house was when he and Linda spent a couple of hours on Sunday morning playing around with pups at the pack house. Well, to tell the truth both of them were supposed to babysit those rugrats, but it was one of the joys of being in a werewolf pack where Kelly got to playing and running around entertaining them without a care in the world. People say kids in general bring joy to life, and in this case it couldn't have been any truer; the pups did nothing but bring such joy in Kelly’s life. If Kelly were to be honest with himself, he absolutely loved it. Besides that , it really had been a while since just the four of them spend their time together like the time before Bill came into picture, like old time. It was fun and Kelly truly had a blast.
But all that was good had to eventually come to an end. After waking up at his usual time, Kelly went to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for school. Kelly hated Mondays, but there was nothing he could do about that. After putting on appropriate layers of clothes, he walked downstairs and into the kitchen to have breakfast.
Kelly was not one to eat a lot like his other family members. He went to grab a mug and grab an English Breakfast tea bag and put it in his coffee mug before filling it with boiling hot water from the kettle on the stove. Then, he went to sit down at the dining table and grabbed a doughnut his mother had put out and ate in silence. It was normal for him to see that his twin sister Katya sat and ate in silence seeing that she was really not a morning person. Even though they were twins to begin with, they both had nothing in common other than the fact that they both liked guys. Other than that they were just too different, and Kelly didn't mind that at all. Sure they talked every now and then, and they jabbed at each other like other siblings for that matter, but for the most part they didn't really hang out much or do stuff together. Kelly liked that. He liked that his siblings treated him like any other siblings in any other families treat each other. Ignorance is bliss they say, and Kelly couldn't agree more. Just believe him when he says that being under close watch and scrutiny from his parents for him being different than the rest of his family all his life can be very exhausting, and that Kelly genuinely welcomed with an open arms the stranger treatment he’d received from his older brother Kenneth and his twin sister Katya. Enough said, and no argument there.
For some reason today Wolfie was very energetic and very restless to a point where he was making Kelly edgy. Not that Kelly cared about what was going on with his wolf, but it was too early in the morning to be dealing with this kind of stuff. Not only that, Kelly thought that Wolfie was acting extremely strange for some reason. Now he really had to know.
‘Wolfie, what’s going on, buddy? You seem particularly weird today.’ Kelly said to Wolfie, only to have Wolfie snarled at Kelly with attitude? ‘Well, you don’t have to snap at me, man.’ Kelly mentally pouted at his wolf.
