Atem's POV
I was in shock. Could there be a way for me to go back? I must consult with the Gods on this one. I run into Mahad on my way to them. "Pharaoh why are you in such a hurry," he asks. "I was watching over Yugi as I always do. They found a cave next to his father's tomb well it looks like an extension of the tomb honestly. Anyways it talked of Zorc coming back and possibly me going back. I'm on my way to consult with the Gods to see how true this is and if I may be able to push him in the right direction," I say. "Well I'd think they'd give you the truth on the prophecy, but they probably won't let you interfere until it's time if there will be a time," he says.
"Yeah you're right. I can't interfere unless I'm meant to otherwise it may fail. What if all I did to get rid of Zorc was for nothing," I ask. "I'm sure that we had a hand in weakening him. If these events were meant to happen then so be it. You look worried about something," he says. I nod. "I just want to see Yugi again. After all I've done, I'd like to think that maybe I can be granted one thing. One light in my life that I can keep. I love all of you guys, but nobody can replace the light that Yugi has given me. That time I had with him. I didn't realize it was so short," I say trailing off a little.
"My Pharaoh how long have you felt this for the boy. I could see you cared about him, but now I truly see the depth of your feelings for him," he says. "Since our duel with Pegasus and I thought that I lost him. My heart felt like it could collapse," I say. "Ah I see. Well I will accompany you on your visit with the Gods. I hope that you can go back to him. As much as I have enjoyed your presence back here, I want you happy with the one you love," he says. "Thank you Mahad," I say and we walk through the palace and up a long set of stairs. Our surroundings morph into clouds and everything around us is the finest Egypt can find. I look up and see Ra and the other Gods seated around him.
I bow to him showing respect feeling Mahad do the same. "Rise and tell us what you've come here for," says Ra. "I've come to ask about a prophecy involving me and..,"I start. "Your love," asks Isis. I nod. "We've been wondering when you'd show up about this," says Osiris. "So you have the answers to my questions," I ask. "Yes and no Pharaoh Atem," he says and floats down to where I'm standing. "What we can tell you is that your journey with Yugi isn't over. You will be coming to a cross road and decisions will have to be made," he says.
"When will I know," I ask. "Just keep an eye on your love," says Osiris. "Your light will guide you home," says Ra. Mahad comes up. "I'll be by your side my Pharaoh," he says. "Thank you Mahad. I couldn't ask for a better friend and magician to be by my side," I say. "Now it is time for you to go Pharaoh Atem and Sorcerer Mahad. Be weary though. The path will not be easy," says Ra. We nod and bow in respect before leaving and going back to the palace. "Mahad can you gather the rest of the court. The more people we have involved the better. Even though we have the guidance of the Gods, I want to ensure this plays out how it's meant to," I say and he nods and goes off to find the rest of them and I head to the throne room.
I get there and see that he already has them there. "Isis saw with the necklace," says Seth. "Alright," I say and sit on the throne. "What is it that you wanted to discuss Pharaoh," asks Isis. "There may be a possibility that I can go back to Yugi," I say and they gasp. "How," asks Isis. "There's a prophecy brewing much like the one that sent me here. The real Millennium Items are on the earth which means Zorc can return," I say. "But you did so much sealing him away," shouts Seth. "I know. The fact is we must do what the Gods intended. I'll keep you informed if anything comes up, but so far everything is quiet," I say and they nod. "You're all dismissed for the rest of the day," I say and get up and start off towards the gate. "My Pharaoh, may I go with you to see Yugi," asks Mahad.
"Nope I don't mind," I say and we cross the gate and appear next to Yugi. We follow as he wanders into the palace gardens and sits in front of a fountain and the sculpture within it is me with my back turned and thumb up as I had when I walked into the afterlife. "Hey Atem," he says. "Hey Yugi," I say back as if he could hear me. "Each day is getting a little better. I still cry at night sometimes when I think of you. I know you're watching over me and helping me. For that I am forever grateful," he says. "It's nothing Aibou," I say. "Dueling still is difficult not only cause I'm Pharaoh and have no time, but because I'm scared of failure. You were always amazing and I wish I could be that good," he says.
"You are Yugi," I say and put a hand on his shoulder. He shivered a little indicating he felt my presence. "I came here today to tell you that I'm doing ok," he says with a smile. "I'll try to make it out here each day to talk and I can't wait till I see you again," he says and walks away. "He truly does miss you but he's trying to live," says Mahad. "I know. He knows it's what I want," I say. "Well now we wait," says Mahad. "Yeah now we wait for whatever to happen," I say.
**So this was supposed to be out this weekend, but Wattpad glitched and I lost the entire chapter. Sorry guys thanks for reading and give me some feedback! Thanks!**
