Prom?

Perrie's P.O.V
I walked through the school halls, making my way to the cafeteria where I was meeting my best friends Jesy, Jade, Leigh and Alex. Prom was coming up and everyone was really excited. Except me...

The girls have all been asked to prom, leaving me all alone. Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy for them, it's just that I have my eye on a particular someone, but I know he's never going to ask me.

"Hey guys" I said as I approached the table
"Hey Pez" they all replied
I sat down next to Alex as we all began to talk about prom.

"So Alex, do you know who you're gonna ask to prom yet?" Jade asked

"Um yeah, I have my eyes on this one girl, she's gorgeous and has the most amazing personality so I'm really hoping she'll say yes" Alex replied making my heart shatter into a million pieces.

Yes. I have a crush on my best friend. Too bad there's a big wall between us called "the friend zone".

Alex's P.O.V
Prom was coming up and I was planning on asking a special someone to be my date today.

When Jade asked me who I was going to ask to prom, I couldn't help but smile. Just thinking of the girl made my heart skip a beat, and that girl was Perrie.

Yes, I have a crush on my best friend, but I've had feelings for her ever since I first saw her. I know that I'm risking my whole friendship with her by asking her, but I'll risk anything just to be able to call her mine.

*bell rings*

"Well, it's time to go to that assembly" Jesy said as the bell rang

"Why do we even need to go?" Perrie asked

"I don't know" I replied trying to act cool as I was a nervous wreck, knowing exactly why we needed to go.

Perrie's P.O.V
As we walked to the assembly hall, I noticed that Alex was missing.

"Hey girls, do you know where Alex went?" I asked

"Uh, no" they replied

I brushed it off, thinking maybe he had to the bathroom?

When everyone was seated, the lights turned off as a video started to play. I sat there, eyes wide open as I watched the video, seeing a bunch of pictures of Alex and I from when we were younger to now. What is going on?

Soon, the video ended and a light shone right above me, giving me a spot light, making the girls push me up so I was standing. Then there was another spotlight, this one was on Alex. I stood there in shock as I saw him in a black tuxedo, holding a bunch of red roses. He then started to walk towards me. Once he reached me, he began to speak.

"Perrie Edwards, I have known you for as long as I can remember. And ever since the day I met you, I knew that you were something special. I have always loved you, and it has taken me a while to have enough courage to ask you this but, will you be my date to prom?"

Tears began to build up in my eyes as I processed what he had just said.

"Yes! I'd love to be your date to prom" I replied

I watched his face light up as I answered, picking me up and spinning
me around, making me let out a laugh.

He put me down and hugged me tightly as everyone around us cheered.

This was the best day of my life.
