Perrie's P.O.V
It was a nice warm summer day as I walked around town, stopping at a bench when I reached a local skateboard park so I could rest. I looked in front of me and saw that there was only one other person here. He was riding his skateboard up and down the slopes. As he got his skateboard, he looked up at me a smiled. Being the polite person I am, I smiled back. He then started to approach me.

"Do you skate too?" He asked me
"Uh, no" I replied
"You wanna try?" He then asked me again
"Um, I don't think I can do it"
"Come in, it'll be fine, I'll teach you" he said while holding out his hand, giving me a warm smile
"Okay" I said taking his hand reluctantly.

"It will be fun" he said, leading me to his skateboard. "First, you need to get on board"
"I don't think this is a good idea, what if I fall?"
"If you fall, I'll catch you"
"Promise?"
"Promise"

I slowly took a step onto the board, immediately losing my balance. I closed my eyes and embraced for the impact, except the wasn't any. I slowly opened my eyes to see that the boy had caught me.

"My name's Alex by the way" he said, smiling down at me
"I'm Perrie" I said, smiling back

As time went by, we continued skateboarding, well.. Alex continued skateboarding, I just kept falling but every time, Alex would catch me, just like he promised.

Soon later, we ended up sitting on the bench talking about ourselves. There was then a silence, it wasn't an awkward one though, it was a comfortable silence. Everything was perfect until my phone started buzzing. I look at it to see that it was a message from one of my best friends.

Leigh-Leigh😍🔥- WHERE ARE YOU?! The girls and I can't start the sleepover without you! x L

Me- OMG SORRY I LOST TRACK OF TIME, be there in 5. x P

"Um it's getting kinda late and my friends are expecting me, thanks for today Alex" I said while gathering my things.

"No problem, um do you want to meet up here again tomorrow to practice?" He asked

"I'd love that"

~Next Day~
Alex's P.O.V
I was standing by a tree as Perrie approached me.

"Is this for me?" Perrie asked, lifting one eyebrow and pointing to the second skateboard I had
"Well indeed it is" I said making her laugh.

"Come on, lets go back to work"

"I can't do it" Perrie said while pouting adorably
"Yes you can, like they say 'Practice makes perfect'" I said
"You're such a dork" she said giggling
"Am not"
"Are too"
"Not"
"Are"
"Not"
"Are"
" okay fine, maybe I am a dork, but a cool one" I said finally giving up

"I'm cooler though" she replied poking her tongue at me as she began to run away.

"Come back here Edwards!" I called out, chasing her
"Never!"

We continued running around the park until I finally caught up to her, picking her up and spinning her around, making her squeal. I then started tickling her, making her drop to the ground.
"Admit that I'm cooler" I said, still tickling her
"No" she said in between her fits of laughter
"Then I guess I'll just have to continue tickling you"
"Fine, I surrender, you're cooler" she replied
"Good"

Narrator's P.O.V
As the days went by, Perrie's skateboarding skills improved significantly. She was almost a pro! Almost.. but as these days went by, the pair started developing feelings for eachother.

Present Day
"Perrie?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you like to go to uh, dinner with um, me?" Alex stuttered
"Are you asking me on a date?" Perrie asked, her smirk clearly visible
"Um, yeah" Alex replied nervously
"I'd love to" Perrie said as Alex's face lit up
"Really?!"
"Yes" Perrie giggled
