The boy who could fix

Chapter 5/part 2

"Chapter 5/part 2 of Hell(o) Monday"

Then I find Jacob admiring her awkwardness and blushing. He gives her his handsome smile and a laugh. 

Then they stare at each other with love hungry eyes.

Where is my wedding invitation?

"Hmm" I chuckle to get them out of their moment. 

"Lets go and sit down, shall we ladies?" Jacob asks after he is done gazing at Chris. 

When we take a few steps I come to think about who already sits at the table we are about to join. Cole.

I grab Jacob by the shoulder and when he stops Chris managed to crash into his chest.

 You're welcome Chris.

After they have done the sorry-ít's-my-fault apology, Jacob turns to me and asks why I stopped him. "You know your friend over there," I point at Cole. "I don't think he would be thrilled to see me, and then find out that he has to sit with me."

"It's okey Val" He says. When he sees that I'm not making a move to go to the table he adds, " I will protect you if he tries to murder you or something"

"Im sure you will Jacob, but I don't think it's a good idea. I don't want to intrude his life if he doesn't want to." I say, I could see in the corner of my eyes the disappointment in Chris eyes that she tries so hard to hide.  She really wants to sit with them, or Jacob.

"Forget it, I don't care about that arrogant boy," I change. Jacob smiles, and so do Chris.

I give out a fake smile to Jacob and when he turns to walk I look at Chris irritated, just because of you I mouth to her. Thank you, she gives back.

When we arrive the table the boys around it looks up and introduce themselves. The part asian one is Bryan and the other one is Vincent, he has light brown hair and crystal brown eyes, he has an exotic look. 

Both very handsome.

When I first saw the four guys in the hallway in my first day of school I never thought I would sit with them. I feel like the ugly sibling. It's the four greek Gods and the stunning Chris, and then there is me, just Val.

The guys are surprisingly nice and funny. The conversation goes easy, and I almost forget that Im uncomfortable and that I sit with people that are 100x better looking than me. But I can't lay it behind me completely with the looks Cole gives me. Under the entire conversation he gives me small looks, like there is something wrong with me. He probably tries hard not to scream all the hatred he has to me.

As Chris manage to relax around Jacob she also joins the conversation. Vincent and I quickly find the tone. He is on the school basketball team and enjoys literature, the last thing is something that we have in common.

After the bell rang to signalize that lunch was over yesterday,  the boys invited us to sit with them more. We have now officially a permanent place at the God table. 

Am I cool now? Probably not.

Since we now are friends with the Gods, minus Cole, I have decided to confront Cole about his problem with me. We don't have to be best friends, but at least stop ignoring each other (he stop ignoring me) and use common decency . 

So when math comes I will do it.

It's two minuets until the class starts, the professor hasn't even come yet. Now I have a little time to talk to Cole. When I arrive the classroom he is already seated at our table. 

I gather some courage and walk towards my seat beside Cole.

"Hey" I smile at him.

His face change from neutral to a little irritated. He turns to me and say; " Just because the other guys asked you to sit with us does not mean we are friends you know." Then he just turns back and start ignoring me, like usual. 

Okeyyy... that went well.

I'm starting to get tired of his behavior. I haven't done anything to him. What is wrong with that arrogant boy. 

"I don't know if you know this; but greeting your fellow human beings is common decency." I say, then I add " It's called being nice"

"Fuck off" he says. 

"Well good morning to you too" I answer to his nice comment.

At least he said something. It's a progress. 

I intend not to irritate him more and decide to confront him another time.

"Watch where you are going" I hear an irritated voice say. 

I turn around from my locker to see what's going on. 

The irritated voice was Cole, who stands over a poor, tiny freshman boy. The boy is on the floor gathering his books. He apparently crashed into Cole. I know that feeling. I was that boy last week. 

Knowing that the boy never could confront or stand up for himself against Cole I walk over to the scene and bow down to help him gather his books.

"Sorry grandpa over there did not have his coffee this morning, you know old angry man and their coffee. " I say to comfort the boy. Knowing that Cole stands right behind me.

When the boy thanks me and walk I turn around to face Cole. 

I pictured a angry Cole, but instead I see him smirking. 

Whaaat?!

"You are a little feisty aren't you?" he says.

When I don't manage to stop gaping and be shocked by his reaction he says;

"What's that look princess?"

"Do you have a personality crisis or something?" I say, still shocked.

That boy is so confusing.

"What" Now he is the one confused.

"Well I just said something mean about you, aren't you supposed to kill me or something?"

He gives out a small laugh.

"No, it was funny."

"I don't understand you, first you ignore me and tell me to fuck off and know you are smiling, and almost being kind?" I say questingly.

"You can't understand people before you know them. If you want to understand me than you have to get to know me." 

What is that supposed to mean?

"Do you want to get to know each other"I ask, still confused as hell.

" The question is; do you want to understand me?" He reply.

I start to smile.

"Are you Cole, implying that we should befriend each other?" I say teasingly.

He rolls his eyes. But with a smile.

"Later princess." 

Then he walks.

He didn't say no.
