Chapter 20: Emotional rollercoaster

Maddie's POV

"I need to take a leak... Louis pull over please" Harry tells him to move to the side of the road, which Louis seemed to ignore.

Harry looks at him in disbelief, surprised he wasn't following his orders. I couldn't believe Louis was being so rude in not pulling over. I look over to Harry who seemed to be in a very bad position. Noticing Louis wasn't going to pay attention i take matters for myself.

"Louis didn't you hear Harry, he asked you to pull over." Louis looks up through the rear mirror, matching eye contact with me. "PULL OVER NOW!!" He opens his mouth about to object but ends up pulling over.

Louis pulls over to the side and Harry gets off the car fast running to the side, going behind a bush. Louis lays his head on the steering wheel, probably frustrated that we had this small change in plans. I remove my eyes from Louis and i fiddle with my fingers nervous about everything, about all that had happened a while ago.

Believe me a lot had happened. I was somehow trying to fit it all in my brain. So things were that Jason was dead, i was finally getting along with Harry, those men's are still after me, they found me, i almost kissed Harry, Louis was back, Louis was back and more importantly Louis is back!! I close my train of thought looking at Louis. Whose head was still pressed on the steering wheel. I huff out still upset in how he was acting.

"Louis?" his head shots up fast in my voice.

"Yeah Maddie?" i could hear the desperateness in his voice.

"You shouldn't have left me, Louis. You don't know much i've needed you"

"Yeah i know i'm sorry. I just knew i had to keep you safe. And if i was to be by your side, i would only put you in danger"

"Louis you know that's not true."

He let's out a hard sigh, "I mean i guess i knew, but Maddie, i knew that if Harry would have told The boss about it, i would have been long gone."

"Yeah i know" I look to my lap, still upset. When it hit me, Louis didn't know about Jason being dead? I knew i had to tell him but now wasn't the time.

"Do you forgive me?" Louis asks deep sincerness in his voice.

I stay quiet, i didn't know what to say.

I get out the car feeling the tears know come a little out from my waterlockets. I shut the door and i see as Louis looks at me from his window. I stand there watching him through the window, he looks at me a small tear falling out. He opens his door hoping out. We stand facing each other for what seemed like forever, he looked so lost and reckless. He had grown a beard, not too long though. But he didn't look that different, other than the heavy eye circles.

He tries speaking but i interrupt him, by crashing into his arms and just break crying. Hard sobbing onto his shirt.

"Of course i forgive you Louis! Your my best friend, i can't be mad at you!" i says between gasps. I feel his breath clutched on my hair. We finally let go and i smile looking up to him, this idiot.

"Thanks Maddie. Thank you so much. I promised i would never leave you" he wipes my tears and i give him another hug, but this one was a happy hug.

"Hey where's Harry?" Louis expression changes at the mention of Harry's name, i also notice how he tries acting like nothing bothered him, which i knew did.

"I don't know, last thing i saw was him peeing behind those bushes" I try spotting him and see that he was sitting on the dirt floor, hands in his hair. I tell Louis i would be back, and walk over to Harry. I quickly wipe me tears as much as possible, then sit quietly next to him.

"Hey love" he looks to me and i simply look up to see his beautiful eyes.

"Why are you sitting here?" i ask.

"I saw you and Louis were talking so i decided not to interrupt"

"Yeah i know, where are we even going now? We can't be hiding all the time."

"Yes i know that, but the only reason why they found us was because Jason told them. They integrated him and he spilled it saying where we were at, in Majorca. But since Jason is now dead, we have a good chance of us being able to run off somewhere that they won't find us."

"Oh okay, so we're in a good chance of not being found?" i say more happy then what i actually decided to say.

"Yes, and as my duty i am going to keep you close to me safe. So i decided to go to live in England. It's another country far from here." he smiles and i jump up happy, i've always wanted to go to England.

"HARRY OH MY GAWD!!" i clap my hands excitedly. He gets up from the floor and i give him another big smile.

"Thank you so much, i don't know what i would have done without you."

"I ask myself the same question" his words tremble out of his lips. He walks towards me, our breath clutching, as we get closer.

Beep-HONK

"You better get in here now, we don't have much time to waste" Louis tells through his opened window.

"Yeah i know" i give Harry a cheeky smile, then off to the car.

"Want to drive Maddie?" Harry asks as Louis opens his door.

"I uh... um uh" i feel myself grow blush. "No thank you"

"Harry, Maddie doesn't know how to drive" Louis replies before i do, which only made me more embarrassed.

Even though he was right, that i didn't know how to drive, it was still a bit shameful.

"Oh, well that's okay. I'll drive" Harry tells me being the sweetheart he was. I smile and watch as Louis gets off sitting in the back seat now. I didn't feel like sitting in the back seat so instead i sat in the passenger's seat.

"Ready?"

"Hell Ya! British people here we come!!" With that we crack up like crazy, driving off.

"YAY!!" Louis says sarcastically. I turn around tired of his attitude. I stare him down, he looks to his lap trying to ignore my staring. I finally speak out what i knew he wanted to hear.

"I love you, i'm so glad your back."

He looks up from the seat shocked, a smile breaking through.

"I love you too. Just always remember that, no matter what i will always always be by your side."

"Me too. Mad's. I will always be there" Harry adds seriously, looking at Louis from the top mirror.

"Um uh... Thank you?" Ahh crap, here i go again...
