Chapter 39: Daylight

Harry's POV (Maroon 5: )

I hear my phone buzz and i ignore the sound of the call. I end up getting up slipping my boxers on, running over,i didn't want Maddie to wake up by the noise. I go over to the small bed table, grabbing my phone, without even checking the caller ID i answer it.

"Hello?" i ask, my voice raspy, as i rub my eyes. It was 3:56 right now, who could it be calling.

"Harold. Edward. Styles. Ah, your a smart guy. But not as brilliant as myself"

"Who is this?" i ask, my eyes wide, though i had my suspicions in who it was.

"How could you already forget me?" says the deep sarcastic voice.

"What do you want?" i ask getting straight to the point.

"Her."

"FUCK YOU! You ain't getting near her." I look at Maddie who was cuddled under the blankets, so i lower my voice. "If you even come close to her i swear i will _"

"Ah ah ah, don't you dare threaten me." he cuts me off. "Now you listen to me, we're going for the girl right now, and it will be the last time you'll ever see her."

"Your insane if you think i will let you get her."

"Fine, if you don't want to hand her over, then you need to do as i say" he snickers.

I gulp down, without even thinking i respond "What do i need to do."

"Leave her." he tells me. I clear my throat, and he proceeds "Come back to us. The team, if you leave her you can help me rise up and we can be our own group. You have until tonight at 8 o'clock. You better show up at the house. Oh and you better not tell a soul, if not you know what will happen, is that understood?"

I take in a deep breath. "Understood." i hang the phone up, placing it back on the table. I blink a few times, i couldn't believe what had just happened.

Liam? Fucking Liam, just called me and told me he was going to kill Maddie if i didn't go back with them. I walk slowly to the bathroom, splashing some water on my face. I look at myself in the mirror, i had to be strong. Maddie couldn't see me weak. If she finds out what is going on with Liam, she will surely tell me not to leave that she will go after me.

I can't do that, letting her go back, Liam will kill her. I finish brushing my teeth and head back over to Maddie. I had to be strong, strong for her.

I lay next to Maddie, watching her sleeping body. She was the most gorgeous lady ever. I can't help but cry softly but with so much meaning. Just a glimpse of her face, made me crash down.

This was so horrible, here I am waiting, i'll have to leave soon. Why am I holding on? We knew this day would come, we knew it all along, how did it come so fast? This is our last night but it's late. And I'm trying not to sleep 'cause I know, when I wake... I will have to slip away

I couldn't believe the day was here. It seemed too fast, i should have known it would come. When the daylight comes I'll have to go, but tonight i'm gonna hold you so close. 'Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own.

I slip a piece of hair behind my ear. Here I am staring at your perfection, your in my arms, so beautiful.

My tears were streaming out, i clasp my hand to my mouth, i didn't want to wake her up. I look to the window, the sky is getting bright, the stars are burning out, somebody slow it down. This is way too hard 'cause I know, when the sun comes up i will leave. This is my last glance. That will soon be memory...

A heavy tear drops from my eye, lands on Maddie's cheek. I wipe it off fastly with my thumb.

Her seems to want to open so j pretend to be asleep.

I hear her gasp, jumping up with the covers under her armpits, she grabs something and goes into the bathroom, closing the door. After 5 mins or so she comes out jumping on the bed. She had her bra and panties on.

"Morning" Maddie squeaks out with a minty breath. It looked like she brushed her hair, and brushed her teeth.

"Hi sweetie" i respond and kiss her lips. "There was no need in you to pamper up. You always look stunning" my voice cracking at the end. She stares at me her eyes growing confusion.

"Harry, is everything alright?" Maddie questions me. I wanted to tell her NO that everything wasn't alright but horrible, i wish i could tell her, but i couldn't.

I clear my throat, wiping the tears that had began to roll down. "Yeah yeah, i'm good." She looks at me trying to see what was going on, but i look away changing the conversation. "You were amazing last night."

"You think so? I thought you were a beast... Haz the thank you.. I love you"

"I love you too. I'm so happy you decided to turn yourself to me."

"Yes, i had this in me that just told me it was time." she holds my hand kissing my knuckles softly.

"Oh baby let me love you goodbye" i moan, going on top of her.

"Goodbye?" she says confused. I cut her off pressing our lips together firmly, our mouths experimenting each other, for the last time.

We jog downstairs hand in hand.

"Good morning" my mum chirps when she sees us. She was in the kitchen preparing some breakfast, it looked and smelled very good.

"Morning" Maddie and i say in unison. We laugh and i kiss her forehead, my arm hung around her shoulder.

"Harry can you get your sister downstairs, tell her the food is ready. Maddie you can help me set the table."

"Sure thing" i say happily. I jog upstairs heading to Gemma's room. I hear giggling and i frown, what was going on? I press my ear to the door trying to hear the conversation, i could hear Gemma's voice and Louis, wait Louis?! Suddenly i hear silence behind the door and before i knew it i was falling onto the floor into the room, someone had opened the door.

Louis looks down at me and i stand up fast, flatting my clothes. I clear my throat at the awkward moment. This was so embarrassing, they hand just caught me eavesdropping. "Gems mum says breakfast is ready" with that i look away running down.

Once i'm at the table, i sit down on one of the chairs near Maddie. I sit there and look to my plate of food. Was Louis trying to hook up with my sister?

"Psst, everything okay Styles?" my thoughts get interrupted by Maddie's question.

"Yeahhhh no. Is Louis and Gem_"

She cuts me off "Yeah. Louis and her are getting along.. sorry i forgot to tell you" my jaw drops. This was just weird. I laugh it off, Louis was a nice guy he wouldn't hurt her.

I stare at Maddie. I was going to miss her so much. She was the reason for me happiness, i don't know what i'm going to do without her. I see her blush, putting a hand up covering my sight, i chuckled pushing her hand out of the way.

"Harry stop staring!" she warns me with a giggle.

"It's not my fault your so hot" i say simple making her blush even more.

"SHH!!! I'm trying to watch a movie in peace." Niall tells us, stuffing popcorn in his mouth. Maddie and i look at each other and laugh quietly.

Louis, and Gemma were cuddled on a couch. Mom was on a recliner and Niall was laying on his stomach on the ground. Maddie and i were sitting on another couch. We were all watching a movie, i don't even know which one it was, to be honest i wasn't paying attention.

I was so busy thinking about how in a few hours i wouldn't see any of theses people, my mum, sis, my friend's and soul mate.

"I love you" she says in my ear.

"I love you more" i whisper.
