I was caught in the headlights with my hand in front of me motioning to stop. I stared my dad directly in his eyes. He sped up.
I thought it was too late. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. I was frozen. Then I felt an arm jerk me backwards. I fell to the sidewalk. And at my feet the jeep sped by. I turned to find Andy sitting beside me out of breath. "I'm..." "it's okay," he cut me off.
We just sat there and caught our breaths.
"What now?" I ask.
"I have no idea," he responds.
We get up and walk down the street only to find an accident had occurred. Everyone was huddled around in a circle. They filled the whole road. We walked closer trying to get a better look. I pushed many horrified people out of the way until I was about two people away. I peered over top of them and saw the horror. A white jeep was crashed against a street lamp.
