He stared at the red marks horrified on how they got there. As soon as he noticed me looking he looked away. Why did people treat me so differently?
Finally the subway stopped and I rushed out of the doors. I rushed home even though I knew that I would still be late. I finally came to my small apartment. As soon as I heard my dad scream but not in a concerned scream more like something bad could have happened to him if I didn't come home soon.
"Go wash your hands for dinner" he said pointing behind me to the bathroom.
I washed up and came out to my plate covered in stir fry. I hate stir fry.
"Dad?" I say.
"Yeah," he said.
"Can I go out on Friday?" I ask.
"Yeah sure just tell me where," he said carrying his cleaned plate to the dishwasher.
"Ok umm the movies," I say as I bring my plate the the kitchen as well.
I heard a buzz from my pocket.
Andy: Hey where do you want to go on our date?
Emily: Movies?
Andy: Ok when do you want me to pick you up?
Emily: 7:30?
Andy: Ok see you then

"Are you ready?" he asked.
"Yeah," I said shyly.
He started to back out of my drive way and head to the highway. When we were driving I heard a familiar sound. It was My Chemical Romance on the radio I poked Andy and motioned to him to turn it up. Once he realized what it was he started singing along with me.
Finally we pulled up to the movie theatre and walked inside. Once we picked a movie he bought the tickets.
"You know you don't always have to pay?" I asked.
"We're on a date so I think I should pay," he says as he passes me a bag of popcorn. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it so I took the popcorn. Then we make are way over to the man at the stand. We give him our tickets and walk over to the theatre.
Once were in the we find a nice seat and sit down just as the movie starts.
Andy pulls me closer to him and I can feel his warmth. He's so warm and comforting. He smells like fresh air and roses. This moment seemed perfect.
Then the dark thoughts came...
