I woke up with a massive headache. Well no shocker considering I went to a party with Cassie last night. I picked up my phone from the nightstand next to my bed and checked the time. 12:30. I decided to change into something more comfortable before heading downstairs.
Shawn would be off work in half an hour. I walked into the kitchen to see Cassie holding an ice pack on her head. Probably an attempt to stop the pounding in her head.
" you finally decided to get up," she said and flashed a smile my way. I nodded and sat down on the couch next to her.
" did Shawn take your shift?," she asked and I nodded.
" he should be back in like, ten minutes," I said checking my phone.
" I had fun last night," Cassie said. I laughed.
" you remember last night?," I questioned. She glared at me.
" I wasn't that drunk," she countered.
" hey, ladies. Who's in the mood for Chinese?," Shawn asked coming through the door with boxes of Chinese food.
" me!," I screamed and ran to take the boxes from him.
" how did you manage to get Chinese without anyone recognizing you?," Cassie asked.
" well, it turns out, the clothes Samantha picked out really work," Shawn said and took a box of Chinese food I was handing him.
" so what's everyone planning on doing today?," Cassie asked as she turned on the TV.
" Shawn and I are doing something to bond," I responded shoving food into my mouth. Cassie nodded.
" and you?," I asked.
" I got no classes today so I'm just going to hang out with Chase," she responded. Chase being her boyfriend. I know. She has a boyfriend but she's in love with Shawn. I will never understand Cassie.
" so did your agent ever end up calling you back?," Cassie asked changing the subject. Shawn sighed.
" they probably don't know I'm even gone," Shawn said.
" so... what are we going to do?," I asked Shawn, trying to change the subject.
" that's a surprise," he said before walking up the stairs.

" can you tell me where we're going now!," I begged as he dragged me around town.
" nope," he replied with a small smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes. We walked off the pavement and into the woods. Thank god I decided not to wear heels. We walked deeper into the woods when we came across a mini hill.He gently grabbed my hand and guided me up the hill.
" what are we doing up here?," I asked. He just pointed to his right to reveal the most spectacular view I've ever seen.( view on top)
" Shawn...," I started but never finished.
" I found it when I went for a walk last night," he responded and sat down letting his legs hang off the hill. I copied his actions and turned my attention back to the view.
" I like to think. Sometimes I like to hunt for quiet places so I can get inspiration for songs," Shawn continued. I nodded along.
" Cassie told me you used to write songs," he said somehow changing the subject off of him onto me.
" uh yeah. When I was in high school," I said.
" when I got into college everything just went downhill," I said and watched the stars dance across the sky.
" what do you mean?," he pressed.
" I'd... rather not talk about it," I brushed off. He nodded and watched the view.
" any news from your agent?," I asked keeping my eyes on the view. He shook his head.
" what did you mean when you said they probably didn't even notice you're gone?," I asked.
" well... they like... use me. They care about my talent. Not me," he finished and looked at me. I looked back.
" ready to go back?," he asked and I nodded. He gently grabbed my hand once again and led me down the hill back to the apartment where Cassie was probably waiting for us to return.
