Once we got back to the apartment we did in fact see Cassie waiting for us. But she wasn't alone. In the kitchen making popcorn was Chase.
" hey, Samantha," Chase greeted. I waved.
" who's this?," he asked motioning to Shawn.
" that is Samantha's brother. You know. The one I've been telling you about," Cassie covered. My brother? Seriously.
" he's your brother? You guys look nothing alike," Chase accused.
" we have the same dad just different moms," I explained. Chase nodded and dropped the subject.
" you guys wanna watch a movie with us?," Cassie asked.
" yeah, sure," I said and sat down next to Cassie.
" what movie are we watching?," Shawn asked.
" Teen Beach movie," Cassie replied. I gave her a look and she just shrugged.
" Bad Hair Day is so much better," I whispered to Cassie who just shook her head.
" it's not a musical," she responded as I rolled my eyes.
" still better," I respond and turned my attention back to the movie.

At 8:30 my alarm clock rang signalling I had to get ready for work. The one thing I like about this job is it's a music store. On my breaks I like to go upstairs and play the piano. I got dressed and grabbed my skateboard and headed out the door. Who needs breakfast?

Once at the music store I unlocked the shop and put my bag in the employees room. I checked the time on my phone. 9:00. Only three more hours till my lunch break.

Shawn's POV
Samantha's got it rough. She has to work for a living which means she doesn't have time for fun. I walked into the music store she works at and asked the lady at the cash register where Samantha was. She said she was upstairs. I began the walk up the stairs when a heard something.

More like someone. I followed the voice to a room. I rested my head on the door and let the voice of this person put me in a trance.
" no more second guessing "
" no, there's no more questioning"
" I'll be the one defining who I'm gonna be"
" no concealing feelings, or changing seasonally"
" I'm gonna love myself, the way I want you to love me" once the song was done I turned the knob to see... Samantha?
" Samantha?," I asked and walked closer to the girl. She turned to look at me.
" Shawn! What are you doing here?!," she screamed and pushed herself away from the piano.
" I just came by to see if you wanted to do anything. It is your lunch break, right?," I asked.
" how much did you here?," she asked and finally made eye contact with me.
" nice choice of song by the way. Love me by Katy Perry. Empowering," I said and took a seat at the piano with her following me. She hung her head in embarrassment and sat down next to me.
" thanks," she mumbled. I cracked a small smile.
" thought you said you gave up on music?," I said as she shook her head.
" I said I gave up on writing music," she responded smartly. I rolled my eyes.
" come on, we're going to lunch," I said and took her hand gently in mine and lead her out of the store.
