The whole night was a sleepless one for me. Anxiety attacks always led to a sort of panic that didn't die down for a couple of days for me, to be honest.

That's really why I hated them. Not to mention the fact that I was wondering where the heck Harper got to know about my sudden attack from. And how he'd known where to find me.

Everything was always so confusing, ya know.

I was left in a sort of daze in the morning as I ate my cereals and ignored my parents as they ignored me.

I left promptly to download some new songs on my phone so that I had some new ish to listen to on the way to school.

I hurtled into the bus in the morning with a wide yawn and for some reason, saw Nessalynne in my bus instead of Harper.

"How come you're here?" I asked her as I set my bag on the luggage rack above.

"Was staying with my aunt. Had to catch this bus." She shrugged nonchalantly.

"Oh... That's cool." I said. "By the way, I've been wondering... Have you seen Harper?"

"Never mind him, have you heard of the new transfer?" She asked me perkily.

"About ye tall, charismatic, black hair and blue eyes?!" She yelled, sweeping grand hand gestures occasionally.

"You sound kinda stalker-ish Nyx. How do you know all of this?"

"Cause I am his new neighbour, duh! His mom was talking to my mom this morning and I overheard." She gushed.
Okay that was so out of character for Nessalynne.
She was NEVER perky and girly.

Honestly it seemed sorta odd to me.

And besides, who was this guy? Why did that description sound familiar?

--

"... And then Lea said that she would send me the pics as soon as she edits them!" Adelaide exclaimed to me.

My mind was honestly else where. What Adelaide said usually never interested me. Nyx and I generally pretended to listen but that day the two of us kinda seemed out of it.

I was thinking about who the hell the transfer was and Nessalynne seemed to be giggling to herself.

Very wierd.

"Are you guys even paying attention?" Adelaide frowned, tucking a brown strand of hair behind her ear.

"Mmm." I replied.

"The new guy's here!" Some random dudette hissed from the front of the cafeteria.

All heads flipped towards the doors and I caught a glimpse of mr. New guy.

Looking at the smirking grin, sharp face, familiar blue eyes and curling black hair, I nearly puked.

In reality I just blanched.

"Calum... Calum Frederick Anderwood." I whispered under my breath.

"I was... Just going to say that he is mr. Anderwood's son! How'd you know?" Nessalynne asked.

"I... I don't know!" I cried out in frustration as I threw my seat back and stomped right past that sorry piece of old pasta.

Calum stared at me in wonder as I turned around the corner. Just before I left he seemed to smirk lightly.

Seems like my devil had found me and recognised me.

--

Lunch felt utterly dreadful. I definitely missed my chance to talk to Harper even if he was at school (which was unlikely) because I stormed out of there.

What made matters worse was that all the girls would just constantly chat about my little 'freak out' the day before.

I was honestly pretty scared to go to chemistry after that because of how Mrs. Peters was. She can honestly be so scary... And that was my limit with that lady.

Mrs. Hunter took my English, thankfully, so I would get to sit in her class for the next hour at least.

She was a decently pleasant lady and extremely fun to talk to, so I knew I was going to have fun.

I flipped the door to my English room open on the third floor and my vans squeaked against the polished floor.

It seemed as though I was interrupting an introduction because the whole class turned and stared at me.

"Good to see you here Caroun! Now that you're here, first period is self study so could you take Mr. Anderwood around for me?" Mrs. Hunter flashed me a hopeful smile.

I cringed lightly but accepted anyway.

Wouldn't want the whole class to know that I held a grudge against the apparently 'new' student, right?

Calum hooked an arm around my shoulder as I squirmed uncomfortably.

"Good choice, Devina! She's a good one." He exclaimed.

I stood shocked for a moment.
Did he call her by her first name? She was a teacher...

Well, what could be expected from this green noodle? He could be utterly disrespectful towards women at times. (By at times I meant all the time)

I grabbed his arm and threw it off my shoulder with force and stalked right out of the classroom.

I started to tear down the corridor when he suddenly showed up behind me and grabbed my hand.

"Don't. Touch. Me!" I shouted at him. A person from the next block would've probably been able to hear my feral scream.

"Woah, woah, woah... Relax there, Donald Duck!" He exclaimed while smiling.

Why the heck was he smiling? Did he find the whole thing funny? Was it amusing to him to see my bothered face after years?

He was no good from the moment I met him. I was foolish enough to believe that he could change. That I could change him... I should've just listened to them...

"By the way, where's the school swimming pool? I've always liked swimming, if you remember and I-"

"Why? Why are you playing it cool after all these years? I really hate you, you know. You ruined my life, my relation with my brother, my parents and even my best friend. Heck, you ruined everything. I can never forgive you for it-"

"Are you stupid? You think I care about you? I never did. In fact, for the last 3 years, I even forgot you existed. Too bad my dad's job booked us right back into this sorry place. I swear if you tell anyone here about what I did before I will slap you so hard-"

"About the topic of booking people in or out of a place," Harper said as he emerged from the back hallway.

"I think I have business with Caroun Lebbec. Letting her hand go will be a thing you are expected to do."

"You know nothing about this girl! This matter is between her and me. You hear?!" Calum screamed at him.

I flinched visibly. This guy was CRAZY.

"You are the last person I will allow to decide that for her." He told Calum firmly as he dragged me away from the scene.

Okay so this is another wierd chapter to write...
But I still hope it's enjoyed. I really hope my friend is reading this because I asked her to read it lol.
