The vacations went by in a breeze starting with Alex returning home from the hospital, a bomb Christmas party and loads of fun with Carter.

Carter had finally made it back home when school restarted for me.

Obviously school would be hectic. What was I to expect? After my big dilemma from the last half of the semester and the whole problem of seeing Calum and Mrs. Peters again... Not really worth it.

I woke up on the bright morning of Jan 1st at 7:00 a.m with a frown plastered on my face. I pulled myself out of my blanket burrito and rolled onto the ground, clearly not ready to face the day.

Sighing, I pulled myself up and rushed off to the bathroom to get ready. I washed my face with a bright berry face wash and brushed my teeth till they were squeaky clean.

After pulling together my outfit, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen to grab a toast before heading out to catch the bus.

--

"Hey! Stop!" I shouted at the bus driver who could not hear me. Just 2 minutes and 18 seconds late and the bus was already leaving without me.

"Stop the bus!" I shouted.

Some dude in the back saw me but just smirked and continued looking forward.

"Hey doofus! Stop the bus!" I said with annoyance but of course, he didn't listen.

The bus took off with speed leaving me behind coughing in it's dust.

With a huge sigh I began to trudge down the road towards my school on feet.

--

As soon as I reached the hallway, I was pissed. A sparse amount of people were still in the hallway by their lockers. Clearly I was one of the last ones to arrive.

"Hey gurl! Why are you so late?" Nessalynne chirped.

"Hey gurl yourself." I growled.

"Woah! what got you in a bad mood?"

"Why're you acting so chirpy in the morning, huh?! Gosh, you're so pissing off." I said to her and stomped off in the direction of my locker.

As soon as I got my books, I headed to my first class, English.

I was all cheerful, planning to discuss my new favourite TV show with Mrs. Hunter until I set eyes on Calum. Oh dear.

Moment his bobbing dark locks came into view, I almost puked. He sat at the very front, cheerfully chatting up with out English teacher.

"This guy has no limits, huh... First a highschool girl and now a teacher. Tomorrow it'll be an elementary school kid!" I grumbled.

I suddenly heard a short, feminine laugh behind me.

"Who's got you in the depths of despair?" She asked with twinkling gray eyes.

I turned around to face a girl with black hair and gorgeous gray eyes.

"Umm... hi?" I said.

"Hey," She laughed. "I'm the new transfer here. I'm Wanda. Nice to meet you." She said to me.

"Another transfer?!" I gasped.

I mean seriously though. How many people were going to join in the middle of the year?

"What?"

"Oh, just that guy..." I said grumpily.

"Who?"

"Calum..."

"Oh! Yeah, I agree. He sucks."

"What?" I asked. "You know him?"

"Yeah. We're cousins," She said. "And last time I checked, an enemy of an enemy is a friend of mine."

Cue evil smirks.
--

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I ended up sitting with Wanda for the whole English period.

Due to the obvious enmity between Calum and Wanda, he didn't approach us at all. An obvious score for me, of course.

I don't like this book but I update. I don't even know why I keep it alive XD
