We got home and I am carrying Chara on my back. They are still unconscious from that machine. Ink goes to talk to Mom while I take Chara to our room. I set them on their bed, then Mom runs into the room. She hugs me then looks at Chara...

Time Skip

It has been 2 days... Chara hasn't woken up yet. Mom is very worried. Convel keeps trying to calm her down while we go through all the AUs looking for anything close to a cure. But we haven't found anything yet. I took Sci (Science Sans) to see the machine, he poked around.
"Cross........" Sci walks over to me.
"What's wrong Sci?" I glance at the machine, then back at Sci.
"Do you know what this machine is? Like what it does?" Sci looks at me with a concerned face.
"I know it's called a determination extractor, but I'm not sure what it does really. I remember the Gaster from my AU made one, but that's all I really know... I lost that part of my memory..."
"A determination extractor collects determination from the person inside." Sci looks at the machine.
"Does that mean.... that Chara lost their determination?!? How.... How is that even possible?!?" I stood up, still comprehending what Sci said. I am practically yelling.
"Cross calm down..." Sci takes a deep breath. "Chara needs to fight to stay alive. I need to look at their soul."
"Ok.... Let's go back home." I call Ink and he makes a portal to bring us home.

Y/N's POV........

I was sitting next to Convel and Chara. Chara looks so peaceful when they sleep. The door opens, Convel and I turn our heads to see Cross, Ink, and another Sans. Cross walks over to me and sits in my lap.
"Y/N. This is Science​ Sans. Or just Sci. Sci this is Y/N. She takes care of Cross and Chara." Ink says as the skeleton, that is wearing a lab coat, walks over to me. Convel walks out of the room to get something to eat.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Y/N." Sci sticks his hands a hand out. I get up and shake his hand.
"Same here. You can just call me Y/N. Do you knowing how to help my Chara?" I look back at Chara then back to the new arrival.
"I need to take Chara to my lad. I would like to look at their soul. Do you know what kind of soul they have?" Sci looks at Chara then at me.
"They have a red soul, they called it a determination soul."
"Would it be ok with you if I take Chara to my lab?" Sci looks at both Cross and me.
"Could we Mom? It could help Chara." Cross looks at me with hope in his eyes (? He doesn't really have eyes.).
He could help Chara, but I don't want their condition getting worse. Cross seems hopeful so I think I should. I don't want to loose Chara.... I take a deep breath as I come out of my thoughts.
"Ok, you can take Chara to your lab. But we are coming with you." I pick up Chara then stand up.
"I understand that. You may come, where did Ink go?" Sci says as he turns around.

Ink's POV......

I'm really worried about her. She hasn't experienced anything like this. Even in the old timeline.... That was a long time ago... I can't let her loose Chara.... She could do it again..... Kill herself again... I can't live without her... I went out of Cross's and Chara's room with Convel. And now I was standing in the kitchen. Convel asked me to send her back to her AU, so I did. I did give her a phone to call if she wanted to come back. Now I was standing there for what seemed to be a while​, not moving and staring into space, that Error looked at me oddly.
"Did you say something?" I ask as I return to reality.
"No, BUt yOu wERe sTAndIng tHERe FOr a wHILe.. yOu ALRigHt?" He asks me.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine... Just worried about Chara.."
"ThAt brAt shOUld PUll thROugH.. tHEy HAve lOTs oF DETErmINAtiON. WhEN I toOK tHEir sOUl, tHERe wAS TOo mUch DETErmINAtiON fOr Me tO HaNDlE. I neARlY kILLed mYSelF WhEN I toOK tHEir sOUl." Error laughs a little.
"That's terrible! Why did you have to try to take their soul!?!"
"I wAs bOReD..."
"That is not a good reason!!" I am nearly yelling. Error knows that I can go on a rampage. He might want not want me to infront of Y/N.
"What's with all the shouting?" Both Error and I turn to see Y/N, carrying Chara, Cross, and Sci coming down the stairs.
"We wERe tALKinG aBOUt THe PAsT...." Error says as he looks at me. I nod my head.
"Ink can you take us back to my lab. I would like to look at Chara's soul." Sci says to me.
"Ok, let's get going then." I open a portal directly to Sci's lab. Cross jumps in then Sci, Y/N with Chara. I look at Error who just stands there.
"I'm NOt GoiNG WITh. haVe fUn." Error says as I jump into the portal.

Chara's POV......

My soul is fading... I need to stay determined, it is the only way to stay alive.. I can't leave Cross... Or Mom......

A/N - There I updated. Are you people happy? The last time I checked this book was at #241 in fantasy. It was once at #180. I was so shocked I nearly tripped down the stairs... Hehe... But I didn't! I want to update more often, but I have a project coming up that I am panicking on. I haven't been up to date on all my work so I'm behind, I haven't gotten enough time in for my fieldwork, and I'm the first one to present... I hate presenting infront of people... I am so dead. I hope you have a better life than me. BOOOOIIIII!!!
