The Truth

Detention went by slowly after that.
Tyler let you an Dan out of the closet and the three of you sat in awkward silence the rest of the time.

When you walked out of the detention room you went strait to your dorm and fell asleep.
All of this stress made you tired.

When you woke that morning you decided you really didn't want to go to any classes.
You didn't want to see anyone and have to face the possible fact that they may have heard about the drama with you and Dan.

You rolled over in your bed and tried to fall back asleep.
You listened as everyone else got out of their beds and got ready for the day.

When nobody else was in the dorm you sat up in your bed.
You weren't tired and couldn't go back to sleep.
You decided to maybe wonder around a bit while everyone else was in class.

As you roamed the halls quietly and sneaky-like you thought of Dan.
You couldn't seem to get him out of your head.
For someone who seemed like an introvert he was a great kisser....

PJ is your boyfriend.

You heard footsteps.
You panicked and hid behind a pillar as you waited for whoever it was to walk by.
You peeked around the corner and saw that it was Greg walking.
You furrowed your eyebrows and wondered what he was up to.
Most likely no good.

You followed him quietly.
The longer you followed him the more you realized where he was going.
He stopped in his tracks.
You skidded to a stop and ran behind a pillar.
He turned around and looked around.
He must have heard your footsteps.
He continued walking.
You followed him, but quieter this time.

It was getting hard to stay quiet.
He was walking pretty fast and its not east to tip toe fastly.

He finally came to his destination.
The forbidden library.
Just as you thought.
You recognized the path he was going since you had been there before with the others.

He took his wand out of his sleeve and put the tip on the doorknob.
He mumbled the spell you assumed Joe did that night.
The door opened.
You watched as he walked in.

You were about to go in too, until you heard more footsteps behind you.
You looked around for a place to hide.
You heard the door to the library shut.
To late for that.
You decided you would question Greg about it later.
You panicked as you heard the a footsteps get closer.

When you saw nowhere to go you froze in that spot.
You heard the footsteps were just about to walk around the corner.
You squeezed your eyes shut.
As the footsteps came around the corner you heard two people laughing and talking.

Then they stopped in place.
"(Y/n)?!" You recognized the voice automatically.

You opened your eyes and saw none other then PJ.
He was with Chris.
And they were.....holding hands?!?!

Chris's eyes widened when he noticed they were still holding hands.
He let go of PJ's hand and looked down at his feet.
PJ's face was as red as a tomato.

"Uh.....I think we need to talk about this." You said.
"No, (y/n). Its not what you think! Really we-" you cut PJ off.
"No really. There is a lot more behind all of this. With both you and me. We need to sort this out." You said.

He now had a look of confusion on his face.
"Okay.....ya. Your right." He said.
He looked over at Chris.
Chris glanced at him and then at you.
"Okay. I'll talk too." He said finally.

The three of you looked for a place to talk in private where teachers wouldn't yell at you for skipping.
You all walked outside to the bridge and sat on the edge.
"Okay.....so....who's gonna go first." You said quietly.

It was silent the next few minutes.

Finally PJ had the sudden courage to speak up and say "I like Chris."
Right when he said that both yours and Chris's heads shot up and looked at PJ who was blushing like crazy and starring down at his lap.

You looked from PJ to Chris who couldn't take his eyes off of PJ.
You guessed that Chris felt the same way.

PJ signed and looked back up at you.
"The truth is that I really did like you.
But at the same time I was starting to feel something for Chris.
And when people started the rumor we were together I just went with it because I thought maybe I would get over Chris.
But instead I just started liking him more. In fact, I think I may love him."
Chris's eyes got really big and you smiled a little because looking at the two of them, they looked like they would be a cute couple.

"Im so sorry. I should have told you sooner......" He said.
"No PJ, it's okay. I-i have something to tell you too...." You trailed off.
You were scared to tell him even though you knew he loved someone else.

"Y-you see....well. I like D-Dan.....and he likes me back." You said quietly.
"(Y/n) that's amazing! That's great for the both of you." Said PJ happily.
"Ya, but the thing is......I've liked him since I met him. I only said I liked you because Phil made up the fact we were dating under pressure. And I agreed with him because I didn't want anyone to know the truth..." You looked back down at your feet dangling from the edge I'm shame.

"I'm so sorry PJ....i-i only ever liked you as a close friend." You admitted.
PJ took a minute to process the information.
He then looked at you. He cupped your cheeks in his hands.
"(Y/n). That doesn't matter now." He smiled widely.
"What matters is, we're both happy and we're both in love. Nobody got hurt in the process." You smiled back and held his left hand that still cupped your face.

"PJ. To be honest, I do love you. As a brother. And your the best brother a girl could ever have." You stated.
"Eww that would mean you dated your brother." Said Chris.
All of you laughed.
As PJ kept laughing you and Chris looked at each other.
He did something you would have never expected to see him do to you,
he smiled at you.

You smiled back.
You guessed you and him were cool now and that was a way of saying your officially friends.

The three of you got up and walked back to the castle.
Classes were already over.
You three must have been talking for longer then you thought, time flies by fast.

As you were walking with PJ and Chris you saw other people coming out of their classes.
Then you saw Dan walking with Phil, Louise, Tyler, Zoe, and Simon.

Right when Dan saw you you stopped in your tracks.
This is it. You thought.
I can finally be with him.
Nothing is holding me back now.
No complications.
Nothing in the way.
You smiled widely at the thought.
Dan smiled back not knowing what you were smiling at.

You started running towards him.
When he noticed you were coming toward him you started full on sprinting.
He smiled widely as you practically jumped into his arms.
He wrapped his arms around you and you squeezed yours around his neck.
"Haha (y/n) what's all this about" you cut him off with a kiss.

You never wanted to pull away, but he did "woah! What about PJ?!" He exclaimed.
You looked over your shoulder to see PJ and Chris holding hands again and laughing together like there was no one else in the world to bother them.

"Oh trust me. Everything is all okay between us." You replied.
Dan looked in the direction you were looking at PJ and Chris.
It took him a minute or so to understand, then it hit him.
"Wait.....Chris and PJ are?"
"Yep!" You smiled.
He looked back at you and grinned the biggest and most happiest grin you could ever see.

"That means..."
"We can finally be together." You completed his sentence.
He laughed in happiness and kisses you again.
This time the kiss lasted longer and was passionate and happy.

You heard some "ooh's" and "ahh's" from your other friends but you ignored them as PJ and Chris explained everything to them.

You pulled away from the kiss when you ran out of air.
You looked into Dan's beautiful brown eyes.
"I love you." Said Dan.
"I love you more." You replied.
"Impossible." He argued.
You giggled.

"Come on guys let's go to the tree." Said Simon.
Everybody agreed and headed off to the tree.
Dan took your hand in his and squeezed it lightly.
You turned your head and looked up at him. He was looking down at you in a loving and admiring way.

This is it. Finally.
You are happy you had finally gotten the truth out.
