The Headmaster

As you all roamed the halls searching for Greg everyone grew tired.
Louise walked up to you and whispered "I'm getting tired. I'm gonna head back to my dorm. I still think this is a bad idea and you should give up."

You nodded. She walked in the direction of the Ravenclaw common room, she waved bye to everyone on the way.
Not long after Zoe went off too.
"Buy guys, good luck." She said as she walks away.

So now left looking was you, Calvin, Dan, and Phil.
Phil was a really nice person and couldn't ever hurt anyone's feelings, but he was looking like he didn't want to keep looking too.

"Calvin, maybe we should give up for now..." You suggested.
"What?! Why?" He questioned.

"I just don't think we're going to find him this late at night, we are all getting tired." You replied.
He looked at the three of you with sleepy eyes, he was getting tired too and you could tell.
He sighed "okay..."
The four of you walked Phil back to the Hufflepuff common room. He waved goodbye before disappearing behind the doors.

Then you, Dan, and Calvin walked back to the Slytherin common room together quietly.
You could sense the tension that was still between the two of them.
They didn't notice you starring at them as you walked, they were to focused on avoiding eye contact with each other.

You knew Dan only kept on looking because you did too and you knew he was probably more then happy that you all were don't for the day.

When you walked into the common room Calvin went ahead and walked into the boys dorm.
Before you walked into the girls dorm Dan grabbed your wrist.
"Can we talk about something?" He asked.

"Ya sure, what's up?" You asked innocently, you knew it was going to be something about Calvin.
"About Calvin..."
Yep you knew it.
He continued, "I don't think we should be getting in his business. If Greg really has been doing dark magic its probably best to stay away from that. I mean like of Greg doesn't like the fact we're on to him how are we supposed to fight against someone with dark magic?!"

Dan had a point, but you didn't want to admit that.
Not only did Calvin need your help, but if Greg is really that had then he needs to be stopped.

"Look (y/n). I'm just saying, maybe we shouldn't be the ones to be handling this. Why don't we tell the headmaster or something?" Dan suggested.

That's actually a good idea.
You thought.
Calvin doesn't have to know we told the headmaster, and if anyone has the power to stop Greg its him.

"Okay, we can go tell the headmaster first thing in the morning." You said.
Dan smiled. "Good. I'll see you then." He hugged you and kissed the top of your head.
"Goodnight." He said to you as he walked into the boys dorm.

You headed off to bed and didn't hesitate to fall into a deep sleep.
You were so tired from all that searching, you were more then happy to finally go to bed.

The sun shined in your eyes when someone opened the curtains in the girls dorm.

You got dressed just like everyone else.
When you walked out of the girls dorm you saw Dan waiting there for you.

"Come on, we better get going before Calvin comes out and sees us going somewhere without him." Dan said.
You nodded and headed down the halls with him to the headmaster's office.

"So, how's the headmaster like? I mean I've only ever heard him once when we were in the library that one night and he almost caught us." You questioned.
"Well. He is actually a pretty cool guy.
He doesn't really come out of his office often. So not many people get to see him. I mean, even I haven't seen him.
When he almost caught us I was to focused on hiding from him then trying to see his face." Said Dan.
"And you have to remember, I'm only a first year too. I'm only telling you what I've heard." He said.

The two of you stopped at the headmasters door.
Some people walking by gave you dirty looks.
"What'd their problems?" You asked.
"I told you. Not many people have seen him, this isn't really a casual thing." He replied.

Dan knocked three times.
The two of you stood there in silence as you waited for a response.
No answer.
Dan knocked three more times.
"Do you think he's going to answer?" You asked him.
Dan shrugged.

The late bells rang for the first class.
"Well looks like we can't turn back now." Dan said.
He pulled out his wand.
"Joe taught me this." He said.
You gave him a questioning look. he just smirked back.
He put the end of his wand on the doorknob and said
"Alohomora"
You heard the faint sounds of cranks turning in the door.
Then he put his wand away and opened the door.

"Oh cool!" You said.
You peeked your head in to see if anyone was in there.
"Hello? Headmaster? Anyone?" You called out.
Nobody answered.
You turned back to Dan.
"I don't think anyone's here." You said.

"Maybe we should just wait in the office for him?" Dan said, but it sounded like he was more asking then saying.
"I guess." You shrugged.
You walked into the office with Dan behind you.
You felt a little tense, what if you weren't supposed to be doing this?

You looked around the office in awe.
It was so big and had so many things in it. There were all sorts of things you've never seen before, so many things that you wanted to look at yourself.
But you would probably get in trouble if you touched anything.

You turned and saw the headmasters huge desk. On top of it was a bunch of scrolls and a strange tank thing.
You walked a little closer to the desk.
"(Y/n) what are you doing?" Dan questioned.
"Why would the headmaster have an empty tank on his desk?" You asked.

"How am I supposed to know? But I don't think its a good idea to mess with it." He advised.
"I'm just going to get a closer look at it."
You walked up to it and looked into the tank.
It looked empty.
You opened the top and looked around in it.
"(Y/n) what do you think your doing?!?! Close that your not supposed to mess with anything!" Dan exclaimed.

"Fine fine, look I'm closing the top now." You lowered the lid to put it back on when all of a sudden something darted out of the tank.
"OH MY GOD!!" You exclaimed as you dropped the lid on the ground.

"WHAT THE FUCK!! OH MY GOD WHERE IS IT?? WHAT IS IT?!" Dan yelled as he looked around the ground in terror.
"THERE IT IS!!" You point to the ground toward Dan's foot where sat a frog/toad thing.

"AHH GET IT!" Dan exclaimed as it hopped away from his foot.
The two of you scrambled to catch the creature.
You finally decided to whip out your wand and for whatever stupid reason shoot at it.
You missed the frog and hit a bookshelf, sending books falling everywhere and leaving behind a sizzling black spot of smoke.

You shot at it a few more times missing every time.
You shot once more and almost hit Dan.
"HEY WATCH IT!" He exclaimed.
"Sorry!!!" You reply.

The doors suddenly burst open and someone yelled in a familiar Swedish accent "WHATS GOING ON IN HERE?!?!"
You and Dan paused.
You had no clue where the frog was now, but that didn't seem to matter at the moment.

"W-who are y-you?" You stuttered.

"Who am I?" He mimicked your question.

"I'm headmaster Felix. And I should be the one asking you who you are."

(A/n): I know, it been forever since I updated. Literally this time I have no good reason which I haven't been updating. I've just been lazy.
I'm so sorry. I will try to get the next chapter out tomorrow, the day after tomorrow at the latest. ❤
