Previously;
Mia began crying. She looked at Stella. "I-I need your help."

"With what?

Mia didn't know what to say. She had been scared for the past few months. I'm pregnant."
Now;

Stella was shocked. She didn't want to believe that her goddaughter was pregnant. She looked at Mia. "Since when?"

"F-Five and a half months ago. I was three months gone when I realised. Please Stella. I need you to raise my baby. Please," Mia sobbed.

Stella couldn't believe what Mia was asking her. She looked at Mia. "Does your dad know?"

Mia shook her head. "No. But my baby is due in a few weeks. I kept it hidden. Baggy jumpers, sweat pants."

Stella sighed. She looked at Mia. "I can't raise your baby. What would I say to your father?"

Mia shrugged. "You could say you adopted from this girl in New Orleans. He doesn't need to know its me."

"Who's the father?" Stella asked. She was considering what Mia had asked her.

"Do you remember the guy who attacked me? It's his baby," she mumbled. She looked at Stella. "I can't go back to New York with a baby."

***
Mac went back to the apartment. He saw Christine sitting there. "Hiya."

Mac nodded and looked at Christine. "I had an interesting phone call earlier. Mia thinks Claire is still alive."

"Why would she think that?" Christine asked as she began making dinner for them.

Mac shrugged. "She thinks because Claire's body was never found, there's a chance."

Christine nodded. She looked at Mac. "When is Mia coming back?" She asked.

"I don't know."

***
Stella took Mia back to her apartment. She sat
down with her. "If I was to agree, what would you tell your father? He needs to know."

Mia shook her head. "He doesn't need to know."

"Yes he does. You can't go back to New York nearly seven months pregnant."

Mia nodded. "I can stay here till it's been born."

"What?"

"It'll be alright. I think I can pull it off. You tell my dad being here is helping me out. I'll go back a week after the baby has been born," Mia said.

Stella shook her head. She looked at Mia. "Go and have a lie down. You've had a long day," she said.

***
When Mia had gone to bed, Stella grabbed her phone. She dialled Mac's number.

Stella? Is everything alright?
Mac, we need to talk. It's important.
Is Mia okay?
It's Mia I'm calling about. She told me something today
Told you what? Something about Claire?
Mac, Mia is pregnant.

Stella's phone went off. She looked to see low battery. "Damn it."

***
Mac was in utter shock. He couldn't believe what Stella had told him. His Mia was pregnant.

Mac went to book his ticket to New Orleans. He needed to talk with Mia and get her to tell him everything.

Christine walked in. "What's going on?"

"I'm going to get Mia back. She's pregnant."

Christine choked on her drink. "Sorry?"

Mac nodded. He looked at Christine. "I'm bringing her home. She's giving that baby up for adoption."

***
Mia woke a few hours later.  She heard talking. She left the bedroom and paled. Standing there, was her dad.  "Hello Mia."

"Y-You promised!"

"I'm sorry. He needed to know," Stella said. She walked over to Mia.

Mia looked at her dad. "I'm not coming back to New York."

Mac glared. "How could you be so stupid? You're fifteen years old! Why were you even having sex?!" He yelled.

"Leave me alone!" Mia screamed.

Stella looked at both Mac and Mia. "You're both overreacting."

Mia glared. "I am NOT coming back to New York."

"You're giving that baby up for adoption. You're coming back to New York," Mac said.

Mia shook her head. "You can't make me!"

***
Stella calmed Mia down. She held her on the couch. "It's alright Mia. Your dad is calm now."

Mac scoffed. "Pack your bags. You're coming back home. Tonight."

Stella sighed. "She wants to stay here."

"She doesn't have a choice."

Stella rolled her eyes. "Mac, your daughter is scared. She doesn't want to go anywhere with you like this."

Mac looked at Mia. "You either come home with me now or you don't come back at all."

Mia was shocked. She didn't know what she wanted to do. She looked at her dad. "You don't mean that."

"I do."

Mia quickly stood and walked into the bedroom. She broke down crying on the bed.

***
Stella looked at Mac. "I'll keep her here for a bit and then I'll bring her to New York."

Mac just nodded. He walked out. Stella went into Mia. She was crying on the bed. "Shh. It's alright."

"Please. Can you raise my baby?" Mia asked as she cried into Stella.

Stella didn't know what to do. Could she raise Mia's baby?
