Mac Gets Shot

Mia was sat in her maths lesson when the schools secretary came in and whispered to Miss Jeffery who paled "Amelia, there's someone here to tell you something" Mia got her stuff and followed Miss Smythe to the office. When she got there she saw Jo and frowned "Jo? What's going on?" Jo sadly smiled "Mia, your dad has been shot" Mia paled "no you're lying, my dad is fine" Jo shook her head "I'm not lying" Mia broke down "I wanna see him" Jo nodded "I'll take you" Principal Anders came out "Amelia I'm so sorry, I hope your father recovers soon, take as long as you need" Mia nodded and left with Jo.

When they got to the hospital she saw the team and Christine Lindsay looked close to tears and Flack,Danny, Hawkes, Sid and Adam all looked like ghosts, When they saw Mia Lindsay stood and pulled her into a hug "he's gonna be fine" Lindsay didn't know who she was saying that for herself or Mia "I wanna see him" Jo nodded "I'll take you". Mia and Jo arrived outside Mac's room and she entered she started crying and walked over to him "Daddy please wake up, I need you, you're my hero please Daddy" Jo had to leave at Mia's words, she went back to the waiting room, when Danny saw Jo with fresh tears and he paled "no Jo, tell me he's not" Jo shook her head "he's not, hearing Mia's words broke my heart" Lindsay started crying.

Mia was in tears sat by Mac's bed Jo entered "Mia, hon come on time to go" Mia shook her head "no, not unti he's awake, he didn't leave my side I'm not leaving his" Jo sighed "5minutes then" Mia rolled her eyes "see I need you awake, Jo's losing the plot".

Jo knew she had a phonecall to make

Jo - hey it Jo Danville

Stella - hey is everything okay

Jo - Mac's been shot

Stella - he's not dead is he?

Jo - no he's unconcious

Stella - what about Mia?

Jo - she hasn't moved from his bedside

Stella - I'm coming to New York

Jo turned to the others "Stella's coming to New York" Christine rolled her eyes " why she's got her own life" Jo turned to her "she's Mia's godmother and she's known Mac a lot longer than you".

Mia heard the rows and decided to drown them out by singing a song she loved:
