"To clear our names, it must be done perfectly." Jake says.

"What exactly is your definition of doing that Danny?" Cody asks. "Because there are many different ways."

"To do this, we all need to die." I say. "Everyone has to believe it and we must vanish for period of time for everything to go smoothly. After, we stay undercover. We change our appearance. Our old identity is lost for good. All the gang leaders in the country and further will be contacted about our deaths. No one is to have contact with anyone! Am I clear?"

They all nod their heads.

"What do we exactly get in return?" Alex asks.

"To have normal lives." I say shrugging.

"What makes you think we don't like the life we have?" He asks.

"The fact that your still here gives one reason." I say and walk away from him.

Cody catches up to me.

"How exactly can we plan these deaths?" He's asks. "I mean without hurting Annie to the point of breaking her soul. Your all she has. She moved almost 20 hours away from her family where half of them hate her. So what is she getting out of this? And what if this goes badly?"

"Cody." I say turning and putting my hands on his shoulder. "We will be fine. But I need your confidence to help me out here. She needs to believe this and I need this to work."

"Okay." He says.

I leave and head back home.
I can't stop thinking about this.
It's all so confusing.
I'm not even sure what to do or what to say.
I don't know how this is going to turn out.
I don't know if I'll like the ending.
What if this isn't what I want?
What if this is something I'm going to need to change?
But I spend all this time on it and I need to fix it!

When I reach the house, I get out of the car and head inside. The dark house gives me the sense Annie hasn't left her spot.

Upstairs I open the door to our room and see her asleep on the bed.

"Annie." I say siting on the bed next to her and rub her arm.

She looks up at me and her hair falls in her eyes. I push it behind her ears.

"Where'd you go?" She whispers.

"I had to meet the guys." I say. "I think we need to talk."

"Okay." She says and sits up.

Annie leans on me and snuggles against me.

"I need to do something but you need to trust me." I say to her.

She looks up and nods but has confusion in her eyes.

I start telling her the whole plan and everything that needs to be done. Telling her that the guys and I have to fake our deaths and she needs to go along with it to clear our names.

She listens patiently the whole time while looking confused but I can tell she didn't want to interrupt.

"Then everything will go back to order after this?" She asks looking concerned.

I nod my head.

"Okay." She says. "What do I need to do?"

That was the question wasn't it?
The question that needed to be answered but couldn't be.

I'm doing this to keep her safe, but could be truth set her free?

Or would it tie her to the same chains as I have?
