Mending The Bad Boy

Chapter 9

I stand by the window and look at the woods behind our house.

"Annie!" I hear Danny scream as he walks into our room and slams the door behind him.

"What?" I yell at him.

"What the heck is your problem?" He yells holding his arms in the air.

"I could ask you the same thang." I say calmly and look back out the window.

"You know, your little country attitude is really annoying me." He says sternly.

"Well your pig headed, stupidity is annoying me but you don't see me complaining." I say not looking at him.

"Stop being such a child." He screams, his face red from screaming.

I mimic his words with my hands and make faces to go with it.

"Oh my gosh, grow up!" He says annoyed and turns to the wall, resting his head and pressing his hands against it.

"What do you want Danny?" I ask him. "Huh? What did you just have to come up and scream at me about?"

Silence.

I think I hear crickets.

I walk over to him and put my hands around his waist, while resting my head on him.

He turns around and takes my hands away from him.

Tears in my eyes fall down on my cheeks.

Danny shakes his head and starts to walk out of the door.

"What is wrong Danny, why won't you let me help you?" I ask/scream while tears flowed down my cheeks.

"You don't get it!" He yells and slams his fist into the wall creating a hole.

I jump at the sound of his fist slamming.

He looks at me and swiftly he walks out of the door.

I slowly make my way to the floor crying my eyes out.

Our first big fight.

Alex came in running into the room with his arms open wide, engulfing me with a hug.

He leaned up against the bed while he stroked my hair as I lay crying on his lap.

I don't like going to sleep angry with Danny, but I feel asleep.

I woke up to being on my bed. Cody was beside me sleeping on a chair.

He picked his head up and gave me a small smile.

"How long was I asleep?" I ask him.

"Only a couple hours." He says to me quietly.

"Okay." I reply.

That means I still had a couple hours to make up with Danny.

"Where is he?" I ask him.

"Alex and Jake are looking for him." He replies, but with hesitance in his voice.

"What do you mean looking?" I ask.

"After your fight, he got in his car and peeled out." He says.

"Where do you think he went?" I ask him worried.

"I'm not sure. He's in a new place, it will be harder to locate him." He answers." But we have our ways."

"Okay.." I say and smile.

I get up and Cody and I go downstairs.

I walk into the kitchen to get a drink of water, and Cody's phone starts ringing.

"Yeah?.. Why... Now.." he pauses and looks at me before walking into our guest room and closing the door.

I begin to get scared.

Cody comes out and puts away his phone.

"We need to go now!" He says pushing me out the door.

"Where are we going?" I ask him while getting into his car.

He gets in and starts the car.

He peels out and starts going like 70.

"Cody, talk to me!" I say worryingly.

"They found Danny, but they also may have found some stuff on why your being watched." He says quietly.

"Like what?" I ask.

"I'm not sure but Alex seams to think they arnt after Danny this time." He says keeping an eye on the road.

"Who are they after then?" I ask.

"You Annie." He answers.

"Why? What does this have to do with Danny?" I ask confused.

"Nothing. That's why this is confusing. They have a guy who spilled some stuff." I don't know much." He says speeding up.

"This doesn't make sense." I say holding onto the side of the car.

And it probably never will.
