Brianna's POV
Avery wasn't at breakfast the next morning. I kept looking over my shoulder to say something but she wasn't there. I knew she'd be too embarrassed about the night before. I was so worried about her I forgot about Fred until a levitating note floated in front of me. I turned around and looked to the other side of the Great Hall to see Fred (George next to him like always) with his wand out focusing on getting the piece of parchment to me.
Open it! He mouthed.
I shook my head and opened it. It read: meet me tonight at 8 on the seventh floor across from the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy.

I smiled intrigued by his suggestion. He was always full of surprises so I couldn't wait. I turned back 'round to Fred and mouthed, Okay.
I realized I'd let my food go cold. I still thought about Avery.

Divination was boring without Avery. I sat there fiddling with her drawing of Carli while Professor Trelawney pointlessly droned on about something in the background. Multiple times, Fred tried to get my attention but I ignored him and walked right past him when class was done. I felt bad but I was busy thinking.

During lunch I went straight for the Ravenclaw tower(which I technically shouldn't have been in at all, but it's okay cuz the the prefects were eating lunch.) I just wanted to see Avery. When I got to the common room I was face to face with a bronze eagle-shaped knocker on the door. I went to touch it, but was startled when it sprung to life and began speaking.
"When a wizard or witch can no longer move because of petrification, Herbology teaches us to use this magical plant to cure them."
Oh shit. I thought. To keep Ravenclaw minds sharp, this eagle would ask them questions before granting them access to their common room. Now I don't really pay much attention in Herbology. I usually just look around and do whatever everyone else is doing with the plants. I decided to give up and just wait this out until Avery shows her face again.

That night I met Fred where I was suppose to on the seventh floor. I wasn't sure how to dress so I put on a cute black kinda formal kinda casual shirt with jeans and converse. And of course my special bracelet. He wore a black button up shirt with jeans and- son of a bitch how bout that, converse.
"Hey!" He greeted me cheerfully. He sounded surprised.
"Hey." I said. Then he grabbed both of my hands and just held them while we talked.
"I was kind of afraid you wouldn't show up after today." He said gently rubbing my hands with his thumbs.
"Oh, yeah sorry I didn't mean anything by it, I was just worried about Avery. She didn't show up to any of her classes."
"Oh, um, is she okay?" It was nice he asked about this. He seemed like he actually cared even though he didn't know her closely.
"I have no idea. She cares about her grades; she never misses classes. I tried to talk to her earlier, but I couldn't answer the question that stupid eagle knocker asked."
         "Wait, what did it ask?"
"What plant to you use to cure petrification?"
"You didn't know it was mandrakes?" He asked amazed at my ignorance. He laughed at me a bit. I slapped him in the chest while he still chuckled.
"Shut up! I never actually pay attention in Herbology. And what are we even doing here?" I asked.
"Watch this," he said as if something amazing was about to happen. And it did. The wall in front of us started to change. A door formed in the middle of it. I'd never seen a wall in the castle do this before.
"C'mon." He held out his hand for me and I took it. Then we went into the room together. It was a gorgeous room with high ceilings, a chandelier, and- games?
"What the hell is this place?" I asked him as the doors shut behind us.
"Room of Requirement. It turns into whatever you need it to be. For example, I needed a place for the perfect date. I'd say it did a pretty good job wouldn't you?"
"Yeah." I said still admiring the awesome work of magic this room was.

That whole night we talked and talked. About parents, how my father was wizard lawyer and my mother worked at a clothing shop. How his father worked at the ministry with muggle artifacts. We also talked about how he and his brother had wanted to become inventors and open up a joke shop on Diagon Alley. We played music as loud as we wanted and no one else could hear because the walls were sound proof. We played games and did some fun magic, made out a bit, and laughed about stupid things. His magic was beautiful. At one point we were sitting on the floor and he made water slowly fall from above our heads down to the floor around us, but just before it hit, it turned to mist and little rainbows formed there. It seemed to last an eternity but for some reason this eternity didn't seem long enough because before I knew it, I was kissing him goodnight and sneaking back to my dormitory at 2 in the morning.
