Brianna's POV

It was almost winter break for Hogwarts. The usual plan for me was to go home and be with my family for the holidays, but seeing as I finally had a boyfriend, I figured I should probably meet his family. Well, he pointed this out to me at least.
We were sitting in the library on a Saturday morning, one week before Christmas break, when Fred asked me, "What are your plans for the holidays?"
"Go home," I stated with a concentrated look on my face. I was trying to find an answer to a Herbology homework question in a library book. You know, definitions and stuff. Fred's fingers lightly grazed over the corner of the yellowed textbook pages as he composed a question.
"Would you come visit my family first if I asked you?"
This was the first thing he said that could actually break me from my focus.
"Um, yeah sure I guess. I'd have to send an owl home to ask permission, of course, but sounds fun," I said. He removed his hand from my textbook and sat straight up excitedly, smiling wildly.
"Brilliant. You can come visit my house up through Christmas Eve, then go be with your family Christmas Day through New Years!" This made me realize how much thought he's already put into this. Just as I had picked up my quill again, George walked in and was headed for our table.
"Hey are you coming for Christmas break?" He asked rather loudly as he reached our table. He received a shush from a seventh year who was studying for first semester exams. The only thought George gave to that was an eye roll and he continued on at the same volume.
"So?" He persisted.
"Yeah, yeah I think I am." I answered, earning a proud smile from my boyfriend.
"Brilliant then!"

The last day of school before break was a weird mix of emotions. Leaving Avery was gonna suck, but we promised to write each other. I had also planned to buy her some candy and scrapbooking materials as Christmas gifts. I know, scrapbooking, but she is from the muggle world and she happens to enjoy that muggle hobby. Despite the fact I was sad about being apart from my best friend, I was really excited about meeting the rest of Fred's family. My parents had hesitantly agreed to me going to the Weasley's. They didn't quite know how to feel about me staying with a boy so I told them I'd stay in Ginny's room. I think another reason they were cool with it was because they knew I'd still be home by Christmas morning.

I sat next to Fred on the train. George sat opposite us while I asked a few questions.
"So, your mother. What exactly should I expect?" I asked nervously.
"Loud." The twins said in unison.
"She's going to hug you," said Fred.
"And compliment you" added George.
"And ask you loads of questions"
"Loads"
"And show you her record collection"
"Just pretend her stories are interesting."
The boys went on back and forth like this and it was just too much information at once.
"Okay okay hold on! What about your dad?" I asked.
"Oh he's harmless. Just talk ask him about muggle artifacts and he'll never shut up." Fred explained.
"Okay got it." I fixed my hair and straightened my robes. I would impress Fred's parents, I decided.

I rode the Hogwarts Express to King's Cross Station where we were greeted by Molly Weasley standing with her arms open expecting a hug from all of us, even me as promised. She gave good hugs I had to admit, very motherly and loving. She smelled of sweet perfume and... cinnamon? Almost as if she had been baking.
"Oh so nice to finally meet you dear!" She started as I placed my luggage on the ground. Fred picked up my things to carry them for me. I went to protest but was brought back to Mrs. Weasley's voice.
"Fred has told me so much about you in his letters. I kept a few-"
"Mum!" Fred argued.
"Oh sweetie please it's adorable."
I couldn't help but giggle. She was absolutely amazing. I could tell we were going to get along just fine.
"Well thank you for letting me stay with you for a while," I said as we all began to walk together.
"Oh it's no problem at all sweetheart we love company, why do you think Arthur and I had so many kids?"
"I always thought it was because you were trying to top the perfection that is George and myself but never could." Fred joked. I smirked and shook my head at him.
"Ugh Fred you know that's not true dear, we were trying to top Bill. He's obviously our favorite," Molly joked right back. Ginny followed behind us as we left King's Cross. I realized I hadn't spoken to her much, but I very much planned to do so during this holiday break.
