After Stiles and I left, leaving Scott and Allison to watch Jackson, we didn't even make it down the mountains before they were calling us panicking about how Jackson broke out. Stiles and Scott rushed to go talk to Stiles dad while me and Allison went back to her house to try and decipher this Arcaic Latin. When we got there, Lydia was already waiting in Allison's room. It was a surprise at first but we managed to get some good luck for once.

Luckily for us, Lydia is kind of a genius when it comes to most things despite not wanting to show it.

"Wait, what? You're sure?" I asked Lydia, once she finished translating for us.

"Sara's right..Ms. Morrell said that word means 'friend'. 'The Kanima seeks a friend'." Allison said, the two of us staring at Lydia's translation.

"She was wrong. It means Master." Lydia said, standing up and going to sit on Allison's bed to allow us to reread her translations.

"the Kanima seeks a master.." Allison and I both whispered, looking at each other with a worried look upon our faces. As if things couldn't get any worse, it seemed like the big guy upstairs was taking it as a challenge. When we were like getting close to taking a step forward, we were kicked ten steps back.

"Is that important?" Lydia questioned.

"yeah.." I answered simply, feeling more nervous with each second. This was a whole lot worse than we thought.

"Someone isn't protecting him.." Allison stated, looking at me with a worried look on her face.

I felt the same way which was I wanted to throw up and pass out. "'Someone's controlling him.." I felt my breath get caught in my throat before we heard Lydia asking us something from behind us.

"Why is this so important? What is this even for? I don't recall any classes needing this type of information and that includes history." Lydia questioned Allison and I.

We both looked at each other with a slightly awkward look, trying to think of something to say that she wouldn't question too much. Then it suddenly dawned on me

"We're apart of this gaming community online..It battles mythological creatures and thanks to you..We'll be able to pass this one level. I'll be sure to name my castle after you once I conquer it." I said, looking at her with an awkward look, praying she wouldn't question it anymore.

Lydia stared at me for a couple of seconds before shrugging her shoulder. "That's cool, I guess. I think that plaid wearing weirdo is rubbing off on you too much.." Lydia picked up a magazine and flipping through it. "Can we please talk about something more interesting like the new fall spring collection being released soon."

Allison and I sighed before putting the kanima stuff away for now and going to spend time with Lydia. After all, we have her to thank for figuring this stuff out. Not to mention that we have been neglecting her a lot recently. But I promised myself I wasn't going to push Lydia to the side any more. She's been my best girl friend since we were little and I don't want to loose her. Plus, if something were to happen to her because we didn't include her on our supernatural knowledge which is almost nonexistence..
