Chapter 9 : First real date

Chapter 9

A few days later...

Riker POV

I was so incredibly nervous for today. Brynn and I have our first date. I'm so excited, I could scream!

"How do I look!?" I asked, jumping through Rydel's doorway.

"You look great, Rik. You ready for the date?" My sister asked.

"I hope so! I'm so nervous, but I'm really excited too!"

"Well good luck."

"Thanks."

I heard the doorbell, and I jumped. I ran down the stairs, and yanked the door open, trying to act cool.

"Hey, Riker."

"Hey! Ready to go?"

"Yup."

We got in Brynn's car. Please don't let me do anything stupid...

"So what's the plan?" I asked, nervously.

"Go out to dinner, and then chill at my place."

"Ok, sounds good."

We got to the restaurant. I was really nervous at first, but after a little while, I started feeling more comfortable. Brynn was really laid back about everything, and she made me feel like I could say anything and be honest and just have a good time.

Later...

Riker POV

"Ok, just one question," I said, following her into her house.

"What?"

"Does this make us like... boyfriend and girlfriend now?" I asked.

Brynn stopped walking, turned around, and kissed my cheek, making me blush.

"What do you think?" She whispered.

"I hope the answer is yes."

"Mhmmm."

I followed her into her living room. She put on the tv, and we sat down next to each other.

"What do you want to watch?" She asked.

We decided on something on Netflix. It was a random comedy.

Brynn pulled a blanket over us, and snuggled down into my side. I felt my heartbeat speed up a bit. Finally she's mine, and it makes me so happy.

I put my arm around her, and I saw her smile. It made me so happy inside.

Later...

Brynn POV

By the time the movie was over, Riker was fast asleep with his head on my shoulder.

"Hey, Riker," I said softly, shaking his shoulder a little.

"Mmmm..."
