I walk downstairs when I smell Jacob and eat his thoughts. I walk into the family room on the second floor, where Bella stands between Alice and Rosalie.
"They are talking her out of the baby names." I say softly. "I personally like both choices."
"Then I'll agree with Janelle and Bella all the way." He smirks.
"Go ahead and tell him, Bella." I smile.
"EJ, for a boy. Edward Jacob." She says the first name.
"Okay, maybe it isn't awful." Rosalie says with a slight smirk.
Edward enters the room and stands a little bit behind me, staying g out of the way.
"For a girl, I was messing with our mom's names, Esme and Rene. Renesme."
"It's beautiful." Edward comments.
Jacob has a smile before Alice goes to hand Bella a glass of blood. I drank a glass of human blood as soon as the sun rose. As soon as the blood splatters on the floor, Bella's spine snaps. I catch her head, being faster than Edward.
"The baby is coming." I demand. "Alice, call Carlisle. We have to do it."
Alice dials his cell hurriedly before I flash Bella to the den on the first floor. I lay her on the ved and I see Rosalie grab the scalpel. This isn't a good idea.
"Carlisle says the placenta must detach." Alice says, barging into the den.
Rosalie makes the first insulation. She stares at the scalpel with dark eyes. Jacob tackles her to the ground and Alice drags her out. I bite my way through her, getting to the baby quick. Edward is right beside me when I pull the baby out.
"It's Renesme." I smile.
After she is sewed up, I hand Renesme to Bella. Renesme bites Bella and I grab her quickly. Soon, her heartbeat stops, she is dead now.
Edward lumps her chest, but it isn't working.
"I'll take her." Rosalie says from the door. "I promise, I'm okay now."
I nod warily and I hand the baby to Rosalie. I run back over to Bella and tell Edward he has to change her. He grabs a needle full of his venom and stabs it in her.
"I won't kill you." Jacob says brokenly. "It will be too easy. You deserve to live like this."
Jacob walks out back; he sits in the yard and cries. I sigh before I see Edward bite all down Bella's body.
"Now, we wait." I mutter.
Edward wraps an arm around me in a brotherly way before we hear growls from outside. We flash outside and see the pack. I'm stuck to fighting with Sam; he is not stronger than me.
We roll around until Jacob comes out of the house, in wolf form.
"Jacob imprinted." I whisper, in shock. "They can't hurt her. Whoever the wolf imprints on, can't be harmed."
Paul looks at me and I just smile.
"When Bella wakes a vampire, the treaty will be gone." Carlisle says, he just made it back.
"Good. Then I can marry my doggy mate." I smirk.
The pack walks back into the trees I sigh in relief. Sam really can fight. I dust myself off and I walk back inside. Jacob comes in, human form. I get Renesme and I smile.
"Hi, baby." I smile. "I'm your godmother."
I kiss her head and ask Jacob if he'd like to hold her. I lay her in his arms and he smiles as wide as I've ever seen him smile. He is so adorable when he is around Renesme. Those two will turn up so cute together when she grows up. She will have abnormal growth, being a vampire-human hybrid.
Jacob hands her back to me, knowing Carlisle had been giving me human blood, Bella's blood, to make me strong around humans. I carry her up to my room and I rock her to sleep. I lay her on my bed before I climb in behind her. I close my eyes, pretending to be asleep.
