"Find her." He spoke, sitting upon his throne.

The guards at his feet nodded, and took off to carry out their task. It was a woman he wanted, a younger one. She was much different than the other Fire Nation ladies. Though she did have long raven-black hair like many, she pulled half up into a topknot bun with a light pink ribbon tied into it. Her eyes weren't the usual ember color, no. They were bright like the sun with a flicker of an orange behind it. He spent most of his time thinking of her, after the time he saw her. He remembers seeing her outside of the palace gates, reading under a tree. Her eyes were moving lightly as she read; she only paused to see him walk by with his guards. By the look of her, he knew she was only in her twenties. Though Ozai was well into his forties, he wanted her. He was mesmerized by her, only slightly. He knew she would be hesitant of how she would react to him. He is the Fire Lord, after all. He had all the power, he could make her his without so much as a breath from the maiden. A small smirk played its way to his face. "She will be mine," he hummed to himself, "All mine."

As for the young lady, she was at her home in a village surrounding the palace. She was talking care of her young brother, as her mother cooked and her father was away at work. She was wealthy, just not royal. Her name was Ky Lin. When she sat outside watching her brother, Niyu, play with rocks and his hoops, the royal guards spotted her. They came close and she grabbed her brother as if to protect him. "You, Ky Lin, have been ordered to the Palace to meet Fire Lord Ozai." One had spoken.

The women set her brother down, shooing him to go in the house. "Why, have I wronged him?" she asked.

"He requested you." Was all she got in response before she was rushed on to a horsedeer and away to him.

Once at the palace doors, she was helped off the animal. The guards pulled her inside the doors, so she wasn't seen just standing outside. Ky Lin admired the beauty of the halls and rooms as she was escorted to the throne room. When she was brought in front of the man who desired her presence, she kneeled down. "Ah, the young and beautiful Ky Lin. It's truly an honor to meet you."

"Fire Lord Ozai, the honor is mine."

"You may stand to face me."

She stood to see him, greeting his eyes with hers. Not lying, Ky Lin always thought the man was very much attractive for his age. He was much older than her, though. She was only twenty-two, as he was forty-four. She said nothing; everyone had known the Fire Lord had a short temper. He was a ticking time bomb that you shouldn't set off. He even banished his own son a few months prior. She waited for him to speak. "Ky Lin, have you married yet?" he asked, knowing she wasn't. Even if she was, she was going to be his.

The maiden shook her head, "No, sir, I have not."

Her mind wondered why he was asking, the slim idea of what he was going to ask played through her mind. She knew better than to assume, though, He was always unpredictable.

"And why not, you're fairly beautiful?"

Ky Lin let a blush creep to her cheeks at his words. They were only to flatter her in to what he wanted. "I-I just haven't given it a thought, I didn't give any interest."

Fire Lord Ozai only nodded, pleased by what she said. She wasn't looking at any other man, she was truly pure. Ky Lin stood at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for his next words. Instead, he stood to make his way to her. Once in front of her, Ozai studied the women's features up close. "You shall marry me, and be my wife."

The women's eyes widened a bit. Was he joking with her? Fire Lord Ozai never made jokes though. She knew that he was being serious. "You'll be all mine, like I've wanted," he continued, circling the girl. "We'll be wed soon."

Ky Lin avoided eye contact with the older man, staring to the ground. She didn't know what to do. It wasn't an offer, a question. It was the Fire Lords demand. She remained silent. He stopped in front of her, back facing her face. Even with the robes that he wore, she could tell his shoulders were quite broad, and he had some height over her. She was only about the size of this banished thirteen year-old son, Zuko. She knew that he could easily overpower her if she ever disobeyed him. Ky Lin's small voice spoke up. Even though she sounded strong, she was terrified of making the wrong move, "Yes, Fire Lord Ozai, as you wish."

He let a smirk dance across his face as he made his way up to his throne. "Then the guards will fetch your things, and bring you to our shared chambers." He sat, looking at the women whose eyes were still locked to the ground, "We'll discuss tonight the rules, and we'll celebrate our engagement."

She felt her heart tighten inside her chest. She only nodded and looked up to him. Ky Lin no longer trusted her voice, as she felt she couldn't breathe properly. Ozai would never let her leave his side, and she knew that. "Would I be able to see my family again?" she asked.

"Not after our wedding, my dear. Then you shall be royalty."
