For once Ky Lin's assumption of Ozai's actions were correct. He kept her in their chamber, not even leaving the sheets. When she woke after three days of never leaving her new bed, he wasn't with her. The woman felt relieved that he giving her a break. She went to stand but her legs felt like jelly under her weight. Her eyes searched for a robe to cover herself up, landing on one at the end on the bed. Once she tied it around her waist it was obvious that it belonged to Ozai.

She quickly made her way over to the private bath just to freshen up. Out of habit she let her small fist knock on the large wooden door. To her surprise the door swung open revealing the freshly bathed Fire Lord. Ky Lin blushed and moved to the side for him. But he didn't budge. Instead, he looked at the sight of her in his oversized robe. Her hair was just simply pulled back into a ponytail and out of her face. Her soft, pink lips in their natural pout. "How did you sleep, my love?"

Ky Lin looked up at the man, locking eyes. " I slept fine, thank you. I hope you did as well."

This time it was her time to notice him. He had all his hair pulled back into a bun, his skin looked clean and fresh. Though he was taller then her, she felt her eyes lowering. She took in the sight of broad, muscular chest, toned stomach, down to the towel that hung lazily around his hips. Her cheeks went red as her cleared his throat, " Now, Ky Lin... you know you shouldn't stare."

Lust was evident in his voice but, before he could do anything a knock was heard at the chamber door. "My Lord, the royal planner is here."

Ozai let out a sigh. He moved from the door way letting Ky Lin slip into the bathroom. Shutting the door, she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. He was the only person to see her these past few days, she almost felt lonely. She barely knew Azula, but even she was a break from Ozai's everlonging stares.

She took notice to her surroundings; the rather large wooden tub, an open curton that could be closed for complete privacy. There was a towel folded on a smallish table by the tub. As she stepped towards the them she saw that it was filled with hot, clean water with rose petals. A little smile played her lips, she knew Ozai had done this for her. She drew the curtin closed to be shut in. She removed the robe from her skin and folded it by the towel. She got into the tub, letting the hot water consume her.

Before she knew it, she found her way to the library. She let her slippers lead her to a chair where she could finally relax. Even if she wasn't going to read, Ky Lin felt she thought better surrounded by knowledge. The yellow-eyed beauty's mind wandered off. To Ozai, to having to be married soon, to the fact there was no doubt in her mind she going to be having a child for him. Ky Lin was a bender, she just rarely practiced. Her grandfather was a master and taught her how to preform many moves. She was quite remarkable but her bending died him. Would her child be a bender? What if her child wasn't one? Would Ozai still allow her to raise it? Both Zuko and Azula were born with the gift even though Lady Ursa was not. Maybe she could produce a bender. She was almost scared not to. Ky Lin shook her head to rid her mind of the polluting thoughts. Of course she'd give him one, there wasn't an option not to.

She let her mind float to the upcoming wedding. The only two things he was letting her pick was her dress and flowers. Everything else he told the planer to sort out. Right away she picked pink roses, the vibrant fire lilies, and the exotic white lotus. As for the dress, Ozai set up a small shopping spree in the upper grounds of the narion for his bride to pick or make her dress. Though every girl always dreams of her wedding day and dress, Ky Lin didn't think she knew what she wanted in a dress. She had a slim idea, nothing set in stone. She sighed and pulled her legs to her chest. She never thought she'd be here, in the royal palace, getting ready to marry the ruler of her nation.

Little did she know, there were eyes on her. Ozai stood slightly to the side, watching her every move. Since she got here, he knew she spent all her time sitting in here. Deciding to make himself known, he took a few steps forward. Immediately, she gave him her full attention. "Oh, Ozai. I didn't know you were in here."

"Just checking on you, my love. You seem conflicted."

Ky Lin didn't know how to respond to him, knowing he doesn't actually care. But not answering him would not only be disrespectful as a subject, but as his wife. She just shook her head lightly and stood to greet him properly. "No, my Lord. I'm just thinking of our future child."

His face twisted slightly twisted, "What of them?"

She blushed, "Just about who they will be, maybe as strong as their father."

It was only a little white lie because she didn't completely give him dishonesty. But her thoughts were more of how he will treat them. Either greatly spoiled and weaponized like young princess Azula, or like scum on the bottom of his shoe like his first born banished Prince Zuko. Ozai, though, seemed to like her answer as she came to stand in front of him, peering up to meet his eyes. He brought his face to hers, like he was going to kiss her, but stopped. With his voice in a low whisper, he spoke to her, "My Ky Lin, any child of mine will be strong by heritage. What they choose to use the power for is how I will treat them."

Her breath was caught in her throat, she didn't know how to respond to him once again. She swallowed slightly in fear, Ozai loving that it was radiating off of her; though she proved she was one to be so stubborn and strong-willed. But in his presence, she wilted and quivered, scared of not pleasing the Fire Lord himself.

He brought his lips to her for a quick second before pulling himself up to his full height, towering over his young, beautiful bride. She still looked up to him with her bright yellow eyes. He already saw a change in her eyes, becoming a hair darker and showing her soul was domesticated by the  hot-tempered, merciless ruler himself. He felt pride in her breaking, knowing she was forever his unlike his first wife.

Though he obviously didn't love her, he craved her attention and wanted to be the only importance in her life. He knew she was carrying his child, though it was far to early for anyone to know. He knew she was bound to him by his growing seed, and she wouldn't slip through his fingers like Ursa had so many years past.

" Ozai," she spoke to break the silence, "What are we naming the child, if you don't mind my asking?"

He gave her blank stare for a moment before responding, "The mother in the royal family always names the child."

Later that night, Ky Lin sat out on the balcony that looked over the royal garden and pond. Her mind still stuck on the child she was meant to have. She didn't want Ozai to hate her child, as she would love and nurture it past the nine moths she had to carry it within her womb. She was also curious about pregnancy itself. Would it be easy for her, like her mothers with her young brother? Or would she have strong difficulty bearing this baby? She hoped her child wouldn't disappoint their father, so he would want her child dead or banished.

A call of her name from her chambers broke her thoughts, recognizing it as Ozai. She let out a hard and heavy sigh before moving inside the room to please her up-coming husband. Once their eyes met, he patted a spot near him on the bed for her to sit. Before sitting, she grabbed the ivory comb hoping to distract him from wanting sex. She crawled behind him and started to un-pin the bun at the back of his hair. "What are you doing?" he asked as she let his hair down.

"I'm going to comb your hair," was all she said.

He accepted the gentle act, deciding that the night wouldn't be filled with Ky Lins moans, rather what she wanted to do for once. She repeatedly brought the comb through his hair, feeling his soft raven locks within her fingers and comb. He hummed in response to her light touch, feeling relaxed with the young girl. When all tangles were out, she tied his hair into a low, loose ponytail. She placed the comb on her nightstand before crawling around him to sit on his lap. His strong arms trapped her there as she lay her head on his muscular chest. For a while that night, no one moved. No one even spoke. The two sat together, still getting used to the presence of the other. But Ky Lin will never admit that she allowed herself to fall in love with the over-bearing man that she no choice but to marry that night
