Mara has been standing in front of the music room for 10 minutes now. She was nervous to see her band mates, whom she hasn't seen for a couple of weeks.

It was the first day of school, and needless to say, their trip over the summer didn't end well.

She had been dealing with the grief of Jason's death, and the others didn't care as much. It was probably due to the fact that Mara was closer to Cheryl and Jason than anyone ever would be.

Stella had said that maybe he deserved death. Wen said being friends with the Blossom twins was good for their band. Charlie agreed, commenting, "Good image." Olivia stayed silent, knowing that the whole argument wasn't going to end well.

"You guys are being so insensitive," Mara had exclaimed. "He just drowned, for Gods sake!"

Likely story, since Jason was captain of the boys water polo team.

She'd never admit it, but Mara thought there was so much more to Cheryl's story. Things just didn't add up to her.

Glancing down the hallway, Mara saw Reggie Mantle and his sidekick, Moose, making their way to her. She didn't really want to deal with either of them, but it seemed easier than going inside that room.

"Hey, Reg!" She yelled, her hands cupped around her mouth. "Are you on your way to the Dumbass Convention?"

Reggie chuckled, shaking his head to himself. She really is something.

"Hey, Mara! I saw you jogging over the summer," Reggie shouted back. "Got any tips for me?"

Mara sent him a sly smirk. "Of course, Reg. Anything for you," she began, beginning to walk towards the pair. Stopping in front of them, her hand rested firmly on her waist as her hip stuck out sassily. "Run in front of a moving car. The faster, the better. Oh, and don't worry. It won't hurt one bit."

Reggie laughed dryly. "Always a pleasure talking to you, Mara."

"Oh, the pleasure's all mine," Mara replied, sarcastically.

Whirling around, Mara marched right into the music room. "We've had our arguments over the summer, and I think it's time we put that in the past."
