You knew that Valentine's Day wasn't really a big deal. It was some ploy made by greeting card and chocolate companies to get people to spend money that wasn't necessary. However, you were slightly annoyed that you didn't even get a card from your boyfriend.

You knew Clint well enough to know that he had forgotten completely. Which would have been okay... if you hadn't been dropping hints for the past 2 weeks. Unlike him you actually enjoyed having yet another excuse to go all out and show him how much you loved him.

Of course, those weren't the thoughts crossing your mind as you continued to chop vegetables for the meal you had planned. An object flying by your head and slamming into your cabinet startled you causing you to drop your knife and let a carrot fall to the floor.

Annoyance turned to anger when you realized it was an arrow, "Clint?! What the hell are you doing?!" You quickly turned around to face the man who was sheepishly standing there with a bouquet of mixed flowers (the ones you pick up at the grocery store last minute) and a bag of M&Ms.

His eyes traveled to the arrow and then back to you. Finally getting the hint you realized there was a small note attached to it... Hope your Valentine's Day is on target. "You've got to be kidding me...."

"What?! That's original! And I got you flowers and chocolate!" Clint quickly walked towards you, pulling you into a hug which was more like him holding you and you standing there awkwardly.

"Oh my god, you just shot an arrow at my head, and don't even pretend like you didn't get this stuff at the grocery store a block away after Nat made you realize that you forgot Valentine's Day."

"First off, I didn't shoot at arrow at your head, if I had I would've hit you.... second of all.... it was Steve not Nat and I'm sorry, baby! I'll make it up to you I swear."

"You're taking me on a date Saturday."

"Deal."
