Thor beamed brightly at the front door... you were glad that he was so confident, because you were the opposite. You supposed that maybe being a God boosted your confidence through the roof. He was the only one (to your knowledge) who could wield Mjolnir so that made him "worthy". You, on the other hand, were not a god and considering you could hardly push your couch around your living room when you got the idea to switch things up, you seriously doubted that you could even attempt to move his hammer...
"You ready for this?" You took a deep breath and asked Thor even though you already knew the answer.
"Yes Lady (Y/N)! I am very much looking forward to meeting your mother and father!" And with that he knocked on your parents' door.
"(Y/N)! Thor! It's about time you two got here! Dinner will be ready in about five minutes." Your mother greeted you both with a friendly smile.
She gave you a quick hug and then offered her hand to Thor. Of course Thor being Thor did not shake it.... Instead he lifted your mother into a giant hug. "I have been very excited to meet you!"
She laughed. "Oh! I like this one, (Y/N)! Everyone loves a hugger."
She welcomed both of you in laughing still at Thor's friendliness. Your father appeared, "What's all the commotion in here? (Y/N)! Whoa, and who's this strapping young man? I'm just joshing with you! She's told us all about you." Thor shook your father's hand with one of his adorably genuine smiles, "Whoa, that's quite a grip you got on you, son."
The night went way better than you had planned. Honestly, you had no idea why you were so worried in the first place. Thor laughed at all of your father's insanely lame and obvious jokes. He would excitedly exclaim that: He got that one! Your mother of course fell in love as he praised her cooking and got thirds... When she brought out the pie and he commented: That he had never experienced anything more delicious in all of his years during all of his travels, you thought you saw hearts in her eyes.
"Thor, you did amazingly well." You told him in awe of how he had blown all of your expectations out of the water.
"What do you mean? You think they approve of our relationship now?" He inquired.
"I think if something happened to us they'd be more upset about you." You laughed, but his face turned deadly serious.
"I do not like these jokes of harm falling upon you!"
