What are slots? How do they work?

ANSWER:
An apply fic normally has certain slots, or personality types, the author wants to be submitted. This is because the author has a planned dynamic between these diverse personalities. Your form should follow the personality of one of the slots the author has given you, unless stated otherwise.

However, slots don't always have to be personality types. For example, an author of an apply fic in which they create a fictional kpop group may give the positions (ex. leader, face of the group, main rapper) and the ages they want for those positions but no personality slots. In this case, the applicant must come up with a personality for their character all on there own.
