QUESTION:
What's the difference between an apply fic and an interactive fic? What happens if a fic is both an apply fic and an interactive fic?

ANSWER:
An apply fic, in the simplest of terms (see earlier chapters for a more in depth answer), is where readers give the author characters to use in the fic. An interactive fic is where the readers play a part in deciding the plot of the fic. Some interactive fics are done similar to the Choose Your Own Adventure series, other interactive fics are done differently.

Now an interactive apply fic is something I (admin aj) more or less coined. I think I've seen it done once on wattpad before I started doing it, but the way I specific run my interactive apply fics is something I created.

So with my interactive apply fics, there's slots like everything other apply fic that people apply for. Once the apply fic is closed, the interactive stage starts. You know how there's character forms you fill out for a standard apply fic? My interactive apply fics have those, and forms for missions and whatnot down the road. All my interactive apply fics are all fictional survival shows. Thus, the interactive part is filling out a form related to one of the missions in the survival show. So instead of me having to jump to conclusions about what your character might do in a certain situation, you (the applicant) get to tell me.

Essentially, it's a way to help me (the author) from running into trouble brainstorming the plot and to keep applicants more invested in the story (because whatever they put down on the form affects the plot and how I write the characters). -admin aj
