Lost Dog- Part One

Hehehe. A little modern one shot. In here, Astrid is 19 and Hiccup is 20. This one will be a bit longer Lol. And for the record, I see Toothless as more of a cat, but it wasn't the same. So yah. Anyways,  Enjoy ~

"There," The tall, green eyed boy said as he finished pinning up the last poster. A few days ago, his chocolate lab, Toothless, had wandered off. He had been searching everywhere, but couldn't seem to find him.

The posters were bright pink, very eye catching. They had a picture of Toothless, Hiccup's address, phone Number, and a reward of $300. Hiccup hoped it would be enough. Heart low in His chest, he saundered off home to bed.

Astrid woke up yawning that morning. She had a big smile and felt great. She lept up, ready to start her day, which was surprising for her, as she was bot normally a morning person.

Astrid took a nice hot shower, and dressed herself in her best outfit. She was ready. Though she knew not for what.
She took out her phone, and dialed Ruffnut to see if they could hang out.

"Hey, stupid. What's up?" Astrid said.

"Mm. Just babysitting. Sup with you, moron?"

"Being bored Lol. Wanna hang?"

"Umm.. I'm not sure if your ears still work or anything, but I'm pretty sure I just said I was babysitting. So, no. I can't today."

"Aww..  That sucks! Wait, babysitting? Who in their right mind would let you babysit anyone?!"

"Well, I'm babysitting Tuffnut."

"Ummm..  You mean your 20 year old twin brother?"

"Yup. that would be the one "

Oh well. have fun Ruff. bye!"

"Bye!"

Click. Astrid hung up, feeling a bit upset. she could call Heather, but she was off on vacation with her brother. Astrid was alone.

She didn't get dressed for nothing, so she decided to go out and take a walk. she left her room, closing the door, and walked down the hallway of her small house. putting on her brown boots and gray jacket, she was ready to leave. she turned the doorknob, and opened her door with a creak. what she did not expect, was the pair of eyes starring back at her.

Hiccup did not sleep well that night. he kept dreaming that Toothless was kidnapped by some phyco who wanted to kill him. Hiccup was scared.

He dismally got up, and got dressed in a long red shirt, and brown pants. he put on his boot. his one, brown boot. Hiccup was born with a condition where his one foot and ankle were underdeveloped. They had to be removed after birth, before they cause complications. This was part of the reason why when he seen Toothless, a little puppy missing a back leg, he fell in love even more. Toothless was Perfect.

Thinking of Tootless as a puppy made Hiccup even more depressed. what if he never got to see his cute little dog again? Hiccup didn't know where he would be without his dog.

"a-a dog?" Astrid whispered as her gaze met with that of the dog sitting on her porch. His green eyes locked onto hers, begging to be pet. and pet he was. Astrid loved animals. Especially dogs and cats. birds too. Which is why she had a pet bird named Stormfly.

How did the puppy get here? Was this a gift from the gods? Yes! Astrid let the dog into her house where she cuddled with him, until she seen his collar. pausing a moment, Astrid swallowed the lump rising in her throat and reached out. hesitantly, she read the little tag dangling from the brown leather collar.
