Ch.21~ Kanta Laga

Everyone was sitting inside the activity room afraid to go out.

Suddenly, the main door slammed open and someone ran inside just as another bomb went off.

"Holy shiiiiit!" Sara screamed. She had run in with such a velocity that she collided with someone when she entered in.

Just guess who that person might be.

Sara collided with none other than...Namish Taneja!
She fell in his arms and he prevented her from falling.

For him love songs began playing in his head.

For her, death knell was ringing near her ears. They stayed like that for a moment. Abhishek looked at them and his heart shattered into pieces. He went near them and grabbed Sara by her hand. He pulled her her and glared at Namish. Everyone was watching them. The kids did not understand anything.

"Dil chahe tujhe choom lu..." Namish mumbled. Abhishek was ready to slap him.

"Kya kahan murgi ke bacche?" Sara asked with raised eyebrows.

"Dil chahe teri zubaan kheech lun!" Abhishek warned. Namish glared at him.

Sara kept her hand on Abhishek's shoulder.

"Abhi, chodho yaar...yeh Roadside Romeo ka kuch nahi ho sakta hai." Sara said. Abhishek looked at her. Suddenly, he looked angry. He grabbed her by her shoulders.

"Aur tum! What the f*cking hell were you thinking?!" He shouted. Sara flinched.

"Mein toh bas-"

"AHHHHHHHHHHH OONA PALOMA BLANCA I'M JUST A BIRD IN THE SKY!" Aarushi yelled as she ran inside.   She quickly shut the door behind her and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Kuttri, kahan reh gayi thi tu? Mujhe laga mere piche hi thi!" Sara shouted.

"Arrey! Pata nahi kaha se ek kutta aa gaya aur mere piche padh gaya yaar! Jaan bachi laakho paye. Aaj toh mera marna nishchit tha!" Aarushi panted.

"Matlab?" Zayn asked.

"Matlab kuch nahi!" Aarushi  said.

"Kutte se bhaag ke aayi tum?" Yudhveer was controlling his laughter. Behind him even Bandana snickered.

"Oye, jab tere piche 5 bomb foote aur uske upar ek bada sa hellhound piche padh jaaye na toh ek chuha bhi daravna lagta hai!" Aarushi said.

"Par chuhe daravne hote hai..." Parul mumbled.

"Tum chuhe se darti ho?" Siddharth asked in disbelief.

"Oh cool! Mein bhi darti hun!" Aarushi said. Everyone rolled their eyes.

"Bhai, tu rehne de." Sameeksha told Aarushi. She pouted.

"Tiger...?" Chammak Challo asked. "Tumne un logo ko dara diya? Ab hum bahar jaa sakte hai...?"

Aarushi made a weird face.

"Mein tumhe tiger kaha se dikhti hun,  Sheila?" Aarushi asked crouching down next to her.

"Mein Chammak Challo hun!"

"Haan wohi!"

"Woh nahi!"

"Hattt." Aarushi got up. Chammak Challo started crying. Following her suit, all the kids started crying. Aarushi got scared.

"Yeh kya hai?" She asked with widened eyes.

"Tumne sabki rula diya aur kya?!" Sumedh said.

"Zayn..." Aarushi cooed. Zayn turned away.

"I don't want to talk to you. You're so bloody irritating." He said.

"Haww." Aarushi gasped. She poked him. Everyone was crying and none of the parents were able to make them calm.

"Aarushi! Stop poking me for God's sake!" Zayn yelled.

"Oye." She poked him again.

"Kya hai?!" He asked annoyed.

"Zyaada bhav mat kha." Aarushi said poking again.

"What?!" He asked not understanding her. Aarushi laughed. The kids were still crying.

"Agar tum dono ki jugalbandi khatam ho gayi ho toh inhe chup karaoge!" Devaki yelled.

"Arrey..." Aarushi said.

"Kya Arrey? Chup karao tum ab in sab ko!" Rohan said.
 

"Okay. Sumedh mein gaati hun tum dance karo." Aarushi ordered.

"Kayte? (What?)" He asked surprised.

"Arrey tum karo na jo bhi keh rahi hai! Yeh bacche kitna ro rahe hai!" Sameeksha told him.

"Now if you're saying then I will do it..." Sumedh mumbled. 

Sumedh came and stood up in the middle of the room. He took position by looking down on the ground.

"Kaanta lagaaaaaaa..." Aarushi sang. The kids became quite. Everyone looked at her in shock. Sumedh raised his head.

"Yeh kaunsa gaana hai? Mein aise ladkiyon wale gaane par nahi nachunga!" He said.

"Bangle ke piche, something ke niche, hayye re piya, hayye re piya...kanta lagaaa....huh raaja umph raaja..." Aarushi sang unsure. Sumedh stood there still.

"Aarushi..." Sumedh warned. The kids started crying again.

"BAS! BAHUT HO GAYA!" Swami Om stood up.

Everyone gasped.
