Ch.4~ Choli ke Niche kya hai?

Day 2: 9:30 a.m.

The buzzer rang. Sumedh, Rohan and Karan went in the store room to collect their costumes. They picked up the tray and got it outside. There was a note from Head.

Karan stood in the centre of the living area and read the note aloud.

"Abhi hum 'Gaana Tera Nach Mera' task ke dusre padav par pahunch gaye hai. Abhi Sumedh, Karan aur Rohan ki baari hai. Inke costume saamne rakhe tray mein hai. Inke baad Bandana, Nivi aur Devaki ki baari hogi. Goodluck, Head." Karan read.

Devaki, Bandana and Nivi groaned.
Sumedh picked up his costume. His mouth hung open.

"YEH KYA HAI BHAI!?" he shouted.
Everyone looked incredulously at him. Aarushi was very eager to know what was their costume.

"Kya hai? Kya hai? Batao...batao..." Aarushi smirked.

Rohan held up the costume in the air. It was a monkey body suit.

"AHA! GOTCHYA!" Aarushi stood up on the sofa and jumped in excitement. "Mujhpar bahut hasi aa rahi thi na kutto ab dekho khud bandar bankar katputliyon ki tarah nachoge." Aarushi laughed. All the girls joined her in laughter.

All three of them made a face. Karan looked at the other boys. Yudhveer and Zayn were trying not to laugh.

"Kutto tum bhi has rahe ho? Dekhte hai jab tumhari baari aayegi." Karan said. Zayn and Yudhveer burst into laughter which they had been controlling for so long.

"Guys, tray mein aur kuch bhi hai. Yeh dekho." He held something in air.

"Ghaghara ki Choli!" Sameeksha exclaimed.

"Arrey wah...tum log kya ban rahe ho...tumhare gender par hume shak ho raha hai." Bandana laughed. The boys widened their eyes.

"Tumhari baari hai na next...dekhte hai tum kya banne wali ho meri bandariya." Yudhveer pinched her cheeks. She swatted his hand away.

"Oye, makkhi! Apne aap ko smajhte kya ho? Mere irth girth mat mandra. Ja aur jaakar apne garbage ke upar mandra. Mujhe touch bhi kiya na toh tera muh dekhne layak nahi rehene wala." Bandana warned. Sameeksha gave her a high five.

"What, huh? Mere paas aakar toh dikhao! Mein bhi Sher puttar hun! Mein bhi roz subah do bade glass lassi peeta hun. Tumhe toh mein apne daayi haath se utha sakta hun." Yudhveer challenged.

"Acha ji? Tumhe toh sabak sikhana hi hoga. Kya bolti ho, girls?" Sameeksha turned towards everyone. All the boys raised their eyebrows.

"Haan, haan kyun nahi? Zaroor. Aise bahut saare dhakkan mile hai mujhe." Parul said.

"Abey, oh elastic rubberband-" Namish started but was cut off by Siddharth kneading him in the stomach. Aarushi immediately spoke.

"Abey, oh chirkut! Kya gundagiri chala rakhi hai bey? Tu beechmein kahan se ghus raha hai? Idhar ladko aur lakdiyon ke beech baat ho rahi hai. Tu kis side par hai, yeh socha bhi ki aivayi baat mein taang adhana teri fitrat mein hai? Seedhi si baat samjh mein nahi aati toh tujhe teri hi mawali language mein samjhana padhta hai warna aisi ghatiya language mein kabhi na use karun." She said. Anger boiled in Namish's eyes.

"Meine tumse baat ki? Toh tum beech mein kyun bol rahi ho? Tere jaise ladkiyan meri jooti chaat ti hai." Namish yelled. Aarushi mouth fell open.

"Abey, oh! Dharavi ke majnu! Tera matlab kya hai haan? Saala, ladkiyon par keechad uchal raha hai. Tumhari maa ne tumhe ladkiyon se kaise pesh aate hai yeh nahi sikhaya?" Devaki defended Aarushi.

"Aur nahi toh kya...yeh ladke hi ladkiyon ko badnaam karte hai." Sara said.

"Excuse me? Humne kab tum logon ko badnaam kiya?" Sumedh asked dumbfounded.

"Bhai, tu rehne de. Neend se jaagta hai." Sameeksha said. Sumedh clenched his jaw.

"Aakhir tum log ladh kyun rahe ho? Shaanti rakho guys." Karan tried to calm everyone.

"Arrey? Toh tum ladke hum ladkiyon ke baare mein kuch bhi bologe aur hum shanti se sune? Tumhara dimag kharab ho gaya hai kya?" Nivi shouted. Karan held up his hands in surrender. He mouthed a silent 'sorry'.

"Uhh...guys, mujhe lagta hain ki tum logon ko task ke liye ready hona chahiye...the buzzer can be rung at any moment now..." Zayn advised in his thick husky British accent.

"Gautam buddha ke golden words sun lo." Aarushi rolled her eyes. Zayn narrowed his gaze at her. The girls chuckled.

"Kya?" Aarushi snapped.

Zayn was about to say something but suddenly the buzzer rang.

"Shit." Rohan,Sumedh and Karan cursed quickly picking up their costume and running to the washroom to change.

"Inhe toh hum baad mein dekh lenge"
Sara said.

"Haan, dekh lenge."

Soon all three boys came in the living room dressed in the monkey body suit and a 'choli' over them.

The music began. The song was 'Choli Ke Piche'. Everyone except the three boys started laughing. Aarushi hooted and whistled loudly. Sameeksha high-fived her. They both chuckled.

Sumedh started first. He started lip-syncing the song and repeatedly picked and dropped back the veil on his face. Soon, Rohan and Karan joined him. It was a hilarious sight. The meaning of the song suddenly seemed so funny. Beneath the veil, revealed the face of a monkey.

This time the girls were laughing hard. Sara and Parul fell down on the floor laughing. Aarushi and Bandana were cracking some jokes whereas Devaki and Nivi were too busy looking at the three boys and laughing. Sameeksha was acting like a monkey to help Sumedh. Sumedh just glared back at her. Sameeksha laughed. Yudhveer, Zayn, Namish and Siddharth were also trying to contain their laughter but ended up bursting into fits of laughter finally. The heated environment soon turned into an atmosphere of fun and joy.

Finally the music died down and everyone sat down on the floor and continued to laugh.
