Chapter 12 - Cecile's POV
I'm on the way to Brenda's house to discuss the plans with the others.
"Ah, Cecile. You finally came," Brenda yanked open her front door. I entered and saw Mr. and Mrs. Yu sitting in the family room discussing something that seems very important.
"优先生,Mrs. Yu, good afternoon," I acknowledged both and I bowed to show respect.
"Ah, Cecile. 欢迎, 欢迎!" Mr. Yu gave me a wave.
"Hello, Cecile. How's your mother? Haven't heard from her in a while," Mrs. Yu, ever young and beautiful, stood up and gave me a hug.
"She's doing fine. Thank you. I'll send her your regards."
"Cecile. Hurry up! Sam is waiting upstairs," Brenda pulled my arm. I followed her up to her room.
"Moving and fixing documents?" I asked.
"Yep. They've been doing those things regarding the house ever since the bank took this," she gestured to the house. "They haven't been spending that much time with me anymore."
I gave her a reassuring smile and tap. "Everything's going to be fine," and she smiled back.
"Guys! Sam opened Brenda's bedroom door with great force. "Now's not the time for pep talk. Time is ticking!" She points to her golden Rolex watch. Both of us started to laugh at her and we started our meeting.

"So there. That's the plan for the date," Sam rolled up her sheet of pad paper.
"Applause for Sammy, best plan ever," Brenda said.
"This Saturday huh?" I asked.
"Yep. Nothing is going to get in our wa-a-a-a-y-y-y-y," and her blue eyes drifted to Brenda's MacBook.
"What is is?" I scrambled to where Sam was sitting. Brenda did the same.
Jasmine updated her Facebook status:
Psyched for Saturday! Going on a day trip back to my hometown with my best friend! Alabama, here I come! - with Peyton Philips
"I knew that that Peyton girl is up to no good!" Brenda threw herself on her bed.
"What's her problem? She trying to steal Jaz back from us?" Sam was getting pissed.
"Probably, but maybe it's about something else..." I drifted off. "Let me text Jaz right now."
***
"Isn't that amazing?! I'm going back to visit Washington, with Peyton!" Jaz texted.
"Uh, well, it's NOT!" I replied. "Remember sweet, gorgeous Nathan? Date's on Saturday."
"Can't you guys change the date?"
"Ummmmm, fine. Friday. But promise you'll make it?"
"Actually, I can't on Friday too. Going iceskating with Pey. Her treat."
"You know what? Fine. We'll find a way to talk to Nathan," I typed while being pissed.
"Cecile, don't be mad. I just wanna catch up with Peyton. It's been a while you know."
Ugh. I dropped my phone on Brenda's bed and didn't reply anymore to Jaz.
"How'd it go?" Sam asked.
"See for yourself." I handed them my phone and after reading the conversation, Brenda looked as pissed as I am.
"Let Jaz do want she wants. Lets just get Nathan to spill our way," Brenda said. "Right Samantha?"
"What? Oh yeah. Let's go with that," Sam answered looking bothered.
"What's wrong? That was like the 7th time this week," I questioned her.
"It's just that my grades are going down," she replied. "Oh, got to go. Mom must be wondering why I'm late."
After Sam left, we both looked perplexed and I said, "Let's go have a little break, shall we?" Brenda nodded and we watched TV for the rest of the day.
