Emergence

Chapter 23

" Edmund!" I scream opening another portal in a different section of the room, absolutely nothing. I frown, closing it and open it again, I stop-this one's different the the one I've been opening for an hour. I hear a loud crash and close the portal, getting off of my bed and running the the hallway.

" Edmund!" I shout again. I stare at the hallway as Vince stares at me in shock, I exhale as he gets closer to me. " What are you doing?" I question. He glares at me as he walks towards. I cross my arms and start to tap my foot.

" What's wrong? Did you hear his name?" I remark. He gets up in my face as I notice he's eyes have that cold stare as I start to back away. " Vince?" I question. He reaches out for me as I try to back away more. " Vince?" I question again. He throws his hand out violently, grabbing my throat and smashing me into the wall. I start to choke as my head hits the wall, I stare at him.

" Vin-" I feel myself start to gage as I stare at me. " ce, l-let me go!" I shout. He tightens his grip on my throat and glares at me.

" Forget him!" He screams sliding me higher up the wall. I start to choke even more as I kick my feet violently, trying to kick him. I start to feel an aching pain in my neck as I gasp for air.

" W-W-What are you talking about?" I fource out. I stare at him as I feel my body gag, trying to make me throw up. He pulls me away from the wall and smacks me against the wall again.

" Edmund! Vince is your fiance!" He screams. I stare at him in confusion as I start to cry once again, feeling my tears rise into my eyes.

" Let me go Vince! I love him, and you can't change that!" I shout at the top of my lungs. Sage has to hear me, please someone. Vince grabs my hair with his other hand as he gets angry.

" Shut up!!" He shrieks. I close my eyes as he starts to punch me with his hand, each blow is harder than the last as he punches me in the leg.

" Sage!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Vince shakes his head violently as I watch his eyes start to violently shake with it. " Vince let me go!" He glares at me and shakes his head.

" I'm not Vince!" He screams tightening his grip. I stare at him in confusion as I feel my whole body start to shiver.

" T-T-Then who are you?" I question. He glares at me and smiles.

" I'm Oliver." He whispers smiling at me. Oliver? Could this be the brother Vince didn't want to invite to the wedding? I hear footsteps as I try to scream.

" Sa-!" Air escapes from my throat as I watch Sage walk up calmly with his hair in a bun, he adjusts his glasses shoving his earbuds further in as he turns. He makes eye contact with me, dropping his book and MP3 player as he runs screaming.

" Vince! Vince what the he-" Oliver glares at him, tightening his grip on me as he throws a punch at my face. I scream as he hits me in the jaw.

" I'm Oliver!" He shouts. Sage shakes his head, and runs even faster, screaming.

" Shit! Shit! Shit!" He grabs Oliver's shoulders and pulls him back tightly. " Oliver! Oliver let her go! Oliver, let Freya go!" Sage shouts pulling on his neck. I start to gag more as Sage grab his neck throwing him on the floor. " Let her go!" He screams.

I fall down on the floor, throwing up and coughing violently. Sage stares at me as he points, shaking his head. " Freya run!" He screams. I stare at him as he starts to fight him, punching him in the face as Oliver grabs his hair.

I start to run as fast as I can as I hear him scream. " Freya! Freya there's a bottle and a needle in a container at the end of the hall! Hurry!" Sage screams punching him down. I run for my life as I rip the container open and grab the container, rummaging through for needles. I find one and jump up running for my life.
