who knew Taylor was so smart?

"Jenna," Zac spoke, not bothering to look away from his phone as she walked into the living room, "something came for you."

"For me?" Jenna curiously raised her brow. She hadn't been expecting anything to arrive, not that it mattered everybody loved it when things showed up for them unannounced.

Zac nodded and pointed, still not looking up from his phone. Following his finger, Jenna's eyes landed on the extravagant bouquet of flowers sitting on the end table nearest the window. Gasping, Jenna rushed toward the large vase of brightly coloured flowers, gently plucking the card out of them not to ruin the arrangement, she glanced over her shoulder at Zac.

"Who dropped them off?" she asked studying the unfamiliar writing on the card.

"Some guy from a flower shop." Zac answered with a slight shrug.

The florist who had taken the order must have been the person to write the card, explaining the unfamiliar scrawl. Jenna smiled, admiring her lovely, no doubt expensive gift. "Wow, did you know I've never had flowers mysteriously show up for me before. Now it has happened twice this week." A smaller, less extravagant bouquet had shown up earlier in the week, congratulating her on her new job.

"First time for everything." Zac mused finally setting his phone down to watch Jenna admire the plants. "Who are they from?"

"Uh." Jenna checked the card. It didn't have a name attached to it. "It says: Jenna, when I see you I want to love you, till the end of time." she read out loud. Smiling, she slightly shook her head, she understood why there was no name attached, it was pretty obvious who the sender had been. "They're from Luke."

"Luke has good taste." Zac laughed, snorting slightly at the cheese that came in the note.

"He does, doesn't he." Jenna chuckled setting the note back and tilting her head to look at the flowers. "They're really pretty."

"No, I meant good taste in his note." Zac commented. "I mean, as cheesy as it is, Smile is one of the better songs on This Time Around."

Rolling her eyes, Jenna ignored Zac's attempt to stroke his own ego, he didn't need to know that the song in discussion had always been one of her favourites. Giving Zac any information on such a topic could and would be used against Jenna at any moment he saw fit. Picking up her flowers, she turned and marched into the kitchen with them, they looked nice on the end table but they would look better hanging out on the dining room table until she got the chance to take them downstairs.

Going on with his own business, Zac didn't stay in the house long after Jenna arrived home. He had dropped Junia and Abe off with his mother for the afternoon, he had a meeting with his lawyer earlier in the day while Brielle had to be out as well. Now that Jenna was practically running a kitchen full time, things were a juggling act. Having Jenna there to help for the last few months had spoiled Zac and Brielle, they had grown accustom to leaving the two children with the younger woman as they went on about their own lives. In a way it was highly unfair to Jenna; Zac had asked her to come and help keep tensions down between him and his wife, somehow she had turned into a house keeper, nanny, and referee extraordinaire.

Jenna wouldn't complain, which was always favourable. When she had informed Zac about the job, she had been so excited and Zac was happy that she found something she loved to do. Moving to Tulsa hadn't been in her plans, but life had other plans and sometimes you needed to let them take you where they would.

"Is Zac home?" Brielle asked setting her bag down on the counter, glancing around as if her husband would magically appear out of thin air.

"No, Zac was here." Jenna answered pulling a pot out of the cupboard. She had spent her entire day in a kitchen, only to find herself cooking yet again, she loved it. "His phone rang and he left shortly after."
