Chapter 42

"Do I look okay?"

Camila rolled her eyes and walked up to me picking a piece of fuzz off my shirt. "Y/nn, we're just having breakfast with them," she tried calming me down a bit. I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror debating if I should change my shirt. Camila stepped to the side of my to touch up her makeup. "You look fine. You've already met Sofi and mamá so papá shouldn't be any different." she explained.
"I know it's just..." I trailed off.

Camila looked at me and set her mascara down. She held my face in between her hands and looked me straight in the eyes. "Babe," she ushered. I looked her in the eyes and she smiled for a second before speaking. "If anything happens between you two I'll be sure to break it up. I'm sure Alejandro won't misjudge you but if he does, I'll be right there with you." She smiled and kissed me softly.

We broke apart and I let myself relieve a smile.

"Now let's go, they said they were on their way there," she grabbed my hand and led me to the door.

I was thinking of what to say to Alejandro. My palms were sweaty making my grip on the wheel tighten. Camila layed her hand on my balled fist on the steering wheel making me loosen up a bit. She gave me a reassuring smile and looked back out the window as she removed her hand.

I sighed and wore a smile. Camila was right. I shouldn't worry. Alejandro is just another human being... who could possibly rip my guts out. I'm just gonna act cool and play through it all. I've met the others I'm just meeting one more. We arrived to IHop and Camila pecked my lips before exiting the car.

We found our table where Sofi, Sinu, and Alejandro were peacefully chatting. "Mami look!" Sofi squealed pointing the both of us. Camila grinned and hugged her younger sister while I went in to hug Sinu. I turned around to greet Alejandro. We shook hands and it felt like he could've snapped my hand off.

"Hello, Mr. Cabello. I'm Y/n," he let go off my hand and smiled. "Call me Alejandro," he said. I nodded curtly and he gave me a hard slap on the back. I winced and turned to see Sofi smiling widely.

"Y/nn!" She cheered and jumped into my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I smiled. "Hey, Sof," I hugged her back then set her down.

I took my seat next to Camila and she held my hand under the table. "So how is Disneyland?" Sinu asked looking at the two of us. In the corner of my eye I could see Alejandro staring me down so I decided not to look in his direction.
"It's been great so far. We still have a few more rides to go but again, it's been really fun." I replied. Sinu nodded and continued to chatter about with Camila.

I swear, Camila and Sinu have one of the best mother and daughter relationships I've ever seen. I was teaching Sofi how to make a paper football when the waiter came with his notepad in hand. We ordered our food and Camila and I decided to share an order.

The food had came by and we split the plate and started eating. "So Y/n, you're a singer as well?" Alejandro asked while taking a bite of his food. I nodded and ate my bacon. "Actually, Camila and I made a song together," I wiped my hands. Alejandro glanced at Camila who smiled and nodded as well.

"Yeah, we're going to start promoting it during tour." She said and looked at Sinu who was smiling widely at the new information.

"Will there be a music video, Kaki?" Sofi asked.

Camila looked at me and I shrugged. "You'll just have to wait and see,"

I finished my food and so did Alejandro. He looked at my plate and then me motioning for me to come with him. I gulped and excused myself as I made my way over to him. Camila waved as we walked out of the building to the front where we stood. My hands became sweaty once again but I forced myself to act natural. There was an awkward silence between us so I decided to speak up. Okay, act natural. Act natural.
