The corner of my room. That's my favourite place in the afternoon. The only home I have, for the demons that lie within my head. Curling up in a ball so I feel small. I feel so unsafe, but safe at the same time. My body's shaking, my heart is racing. My mind wanders like a lost dog trying to find its place in this world. Yet my only place is my corner, where there is a border between life and survival. I cover up in armour so I only hear your murmur. But I hope I don't end up being your former daughter.
