I've been sitting on Carters couch with him for about an hour. Were watching a movie called How to Deal. This is one of my favorite movies and always makes me cry when they find out the girls boyfriend is dead. so here we are sitting on the couch with me crying. Carter glanced at me from the corner of his eye. I noticed though. Reaching for the remote I turned the TV off.
Carters head swerved to me. "What was that for, I was watching that!"
I whipped my eyes and faced him. "Look, its making me cry and I don't want to cry in front of you." I told him taking a blanket he was using.
"Hey I was using that." He complained as I put the small blanket over me.
"Well I'm really cold. And if I'm cold then your baby's cold." I smiled knowing I had won.
"Well then I'll move closer, I'm cold to." He moved close to me and lifted the blanket. He then pulled me into him and rubbed my arms. "Better?" I nodded me head. Why couldn't Carter have been like this when we first met?
I heard a knock come from the front door but Carter didn't move so I guess it wasn't a big deal. Then there was footsteps coming down the stairs and I saw Gavin pass the living room. After a few minuets Aiden and Michelle entered the living room. They gave Carter and I a confused look but then brushed it off and sat down.
"How are you doing Gracie?" Michelle questioned sitting on Aiden's lap.
"Well I though it was going to be harder leaving home but I think that I'm doing okay. Mom and Dad weren't home all that much to begin with so it's not like I'm missing out on their company. I just can't believe that they would really kick me out.
"Yeah they never seemed like the parents that would do that." I nodded agreeing.
"Well Aiden we might have a place. I can't really fill you in because I don't know all that much. You have to talk it over with Carter and Gavin later or something. So if you still want then come along." I told my brother. He nodded wrapping his arms around Michelle's waist.
"Yeah I still want in. I don't want to live at home so all I got to do is wait for you guys to be ready.
"Gracie I was wondering if you wanted to go to lunch, the guys can talk. Or something while were gone" I nodded and stood causing the blanket to drop off me. Michelle took my arm and we walked outside.
"You don't need anything am I right?" She asked I shook m head and walked across the street and over to her car. I then got in the passengers seat.
"So where do you want to go?" I asked as she started to drive.
"I was thinking that we could just go to chilies. So I saw how close you and Carter were on the couch. Something there?" She asked giving me a smile looking over quickly.
I laughed. "Well he is the father." I said pointing to my belly. "But no there is nothing."
"Well, how do you feel about him. You like him at all?" She questioned. What is with today's twenty questions.
"Look Michelle, yeah there is some like going on there because of how he's been acting. But no way in hell would I tell him that." I scoffed.
"Why not?" She asked.
I sighed. "Because you know me, old fashion. Boys need to ask the girl out. Things like that." I explained.
"Okay." The rest of the ride was in silence and I didn't have a problem with that. It's not like I didn't want to talk but sometimes I like it being quiet in the car. When we got to the restaurant we both took off our seatbelts and got out of the car. Then we made our way to the front desk inside.
