[Alice's POV]

As I walked through the smoke, I noticed the forest was starting to disappear.
"Uh....Lilth, why is the smoke making the forest disappear?"
"I don't know, but I think you should go back to the demon." She turned back to human/angel and walked beside me.
"The 'demon' has a name."
"Well aware of this, thank you."
"With you, Midnight and I, we are a sarcastic trio."
"Don't forget Morgan."
I snorted.  "She's on a whole other level of sarcastic."
Lilith laughed. "This is true."
"Where is Morgan anyway?" I asked, facing my eye's back to the disappearing forest.
"I haven't seen her since she went to see her father." She brought a finger to her lips. "Now that you mention it, I haven't heard from her at all since then."
"Shh. We're being watched." I crouched behind a log, and drew my bow.  I can't risk being exposed, so long range is the best option.
Lilith crouched next to me, scanning our surroundings. I did too, that is until I saw a black figure walking toward us.
"Lilith, we have to get out of here." I jumped up and grabbed her arm. "That man is bad news."
"Why can't we stay and fight, I've watched you for years and you never back down from a fight." Crap! She's been around that long. "So, instead of running like you've been doing for the past few months. Let's fight. Earn back your title as England's assassin."
She had a point.
"Alright. I'll attack from the ground, and you can attack from the sky?"
"Damn, if Midnight were here this attack would be a lot more effective. But this is what we have so, let's do it."
I smiled. "Well, let's get to work."
Lilith nodded and spread her wings, lifting herself into the sky creating a distraction.
I focused my eyes again and the figure watching us looked up at Lilth's white and black wings. I was about to attack when a huge pillar appeared in front of me. Sadly, I reconziged the type of stone, rare black obsidion. I would know, I'm the one who stole it in the first place. I took that to my advantage and ducked behind it.
"Come out, come out where ever you are." The man's voice was shaky, so much like the one from that night.
I jumped out of my hidding place and fired one arrow. In. To. His. Head.
I drew another arrow and watched his unmoving body carefully. "Is he dead?" Lilith asked.
"No." —————————————————————————————
